I kind of get the point about the excessive starter use. But working on cars for 45 years probably has me somewhat stuck in the past. Things are made different with newer vehicles and function through computers and sensors so I'm still learning.
But off setting possible fuel economy or...
Certainly cars break down even Fords.

Just saw this and it appears to be the easiest, fastest, cheapest way - to get rid of Auto Start/Stop
Not sure if there is any down side to this, at all, "if" you don't like the Auto S/S
Clip it back in - and - you're back to stock.
I'm all ears if anyone has any knowledge of a problem doing this.
It looks really great, seats are comfortable for long trips, and it gets up and goes loaded or not. For me the best pickup for my needs. Hec I could have bought anything truthfully. I wanted the Ranger over just about everything else. Looks even sweeter with a bit of a lift up front.
Wow in all my years I have never seen anyone replace a car/truck battery with car running.
