I have 55k miles on my 21 ranger and still have the original pads and rotors. No issues here. My wife’s 19 ranger has 40k miles and hers are starting to wear down. Could be driving habits?
So it IS possible!!! Makes me wonder why my buddy couldn’t get his registered?!
That’s awesome! I’m definitely going to start seriously shopping around for one.
CHP shouldn’t give you any hassle. I’ve taken a few trailers in for inspections and they’ve always signed off on them. As long as...
Update: finally found the tool mounts for this rack!!! On amazon of all places… Figures lol ordered them yesterday and they should be here by this weekend.
I’m like 95% sure that company isn’t around anymore. I tried calling and emailing their customer service people several times, even tried...
Keep us posted! I have seen a few of them around central CA so there might be a way to get around it. Either that or those guys just don’t care and they’re towing them anyway lol
Nice trailer! I’ve been looking for one in my area but apparently they aren’t legal. My buddy has an M105 but the DMV won’t let him register it. They said the law prohibits registering a trailer that wasn’t originally intended for use on public roads… Essentially CA won’t let you register...
I had one for a while but didn’t use it enough, it was just taking up room in my shop most of the time lol. I gave it to my brother when he got his truck last year.
Usually if we’re camping, I’ll take the truck as far up the trail as it’ll go, then we’ll get out and hike back to wherever we’re...
Not a huge concern for me. I plan on keeping this truck until it won’t drive anymore. Then I’ll probably get another daily driver and rebuild the ranger into a crawler. My last truck I had for 11 years until I finally sold it.
thats a pretty sweet setup! Does that bumper have bars that wrap...
Been thinking about possibly putting a snorkel on the ranger… Has anyone done it? I have no reason for wanting to do this other than “just because” lol definitely not a necessity and I really don’t offroad enough to need it. Thought maybe it would look cool? Idk… Opinions?
Agree… When I was looking at wheels, I was told if you go much past 0 offset you negate the affect of having offset wheels at all. You go from gaining clearance to losing clearance. I have a 3.5” lift and went with +12 offset on 33” tires, they stick out about 2” past the fenders. Any more and...
Interesting how they want the engine to be warm when removing the old plugs. I’ve always heard/read you shouldn’t do this because things expand when they get warm and there’s a greater chance of something sticking and stripping out.
I have a bed rack that I just throw the kayak on and strap it down. Nothing fancy. It’s faster than using those kayak mounts and easier to pull off. Just my 2 cents.
I can have my kayak off the truck and in the water while my buddy is still unstrapping his.
That sucks… Had a similar situation a couple years ago. I literally had new tires on the truck for 3 days and a rock punctured the sidewall on a camping trip.
Just trash it and get a new one. It’s not worth keeping even as a spare. The last thing you want is for that tire to blow out and cause...
I don’t see anything that’s visibly loose or worn. No play in the bushings that I can see or feel. I’m over it, tired of wasting time trying to figure it out. Gonna take it to the shop and have them look at it AGAIN to hopefully find the issue. I’m sure they’ll charge me an arm and a leg but I’m...
What moldings are you talking about? I bought some on amazon a couple years ago for like $50. They fit no problem. Took them off when I upsized tires and got rid of them though.
I would assume the inner tie rods are either worn out or there’s a problem with the rack and pinion steering system. Everything I’ve read online says a clunking or popping sound accompanied by poor steering is most likely tie rods.
At this point, that makes the most sense to me since...
