  1. Anyone Jump from a Ranger to a F-150 Raptor?

Yes, it's a tough call. 99% of the time, I'm driving on pavement, but for those opportunities to hit the desert, the Raptor is a no-brainer I agree. I also kept the tire width the same (265). It's wide enough, but with my Mickey Thompson Baja Boss A/T's, they look significant beefier. I just...
  2. Anyone Jump from a Ranger to a F-150 Raptor?

Yea, all valid points. I've been to Borrego many times in mine. With Fox Performance 2.0 and better tires, the standard Ranger is a beast now offroad a a far better price point (hence at least one reason I've been on the fence). And I don't have the worry about the sides or mirrors! If you...
  3. Anyone Jump from a Ranger to a F-150 Raptor?

Yes, the cargo space is very appealing to me, but yes, parking will be more challenging for sure.
  4. Anyone Jump from a Ranger to a F-150 Raptor?

What's interesting about the new RR, it's the same space in the cabin (front and rear as the 19-23 Rangers). All you are getting is a bigger engine, suspension and a newer dash with a larger screen. This assumes most update their Ranger suspension. This is a reason isn't a difficult decision as...
  5. Anyone Jump from a Ranger to a F-150 Raptor?

Only someone from Toronto could appreciate the humor.
  6. Anyone Jump from a Ranger to a F-150 Raptor?

I like my Ranger. With Ford Performance shocks and better off-roading capable A/T tires, the truck works great, fits in the garage and isn't wide on the trails. Wondering if anyone has any comparison after moving up to an F-150 Raptor - pros/cons? I have had my eye on the larger Raptor for some...
  7. Wilwood Big Brake Kit? Anyone run it?

Has anyone had a Ford Ranger brake flush performed with OEM brakes? I wonder if this is a decent improvement in brake pedal feel alone?
  8. Wilwood Big Brake Kit? Anyone run it?

For a bit more than $300, this seems like a nice upgrade. How has the performance been? I don't tow, but do offroad as high speed. I just like have nice and tight brakes like most higher end cars. I've had mushy brakes since I got my Ranger. It stops just fine, but you need to plan as there's...
  9. Wilwood Big Brake Kit? Anyone run it?

I've also been looking at this for a while. Cost isn't a concern, but I haven't found anyone that has ever installed this kit.
  10. Portable compressor for airing up them tires

I was just watching a YT video for this Dewalt. Unit can't run longer than 10min before it has to rest for 20min. Hmmm. That may put it out of contention for me. I didn't realize this limitation. Perhaps it hasn't been an issue for you filling 4 Ranger tires?
  11. Maps for off-road

That's exactly my exerpience with On-X. Deeply hated that service. Google has been great and again, just like with On-X, you'll need to download for when there's no service.
  12. Portable compressor for airing up them tires

    And super cheap too! :)
  13. Portable compressor for airing up them tires

I like the looks of this...How long does it take to fill your tires on your Ranger? Just one battery is needed? Also, you can plug it in your cigarette lighter and save the battery on this unit?
  14. Maps for off-road

You can download maps with Google, just like with OnX. I've had far better results with google maps than On-X and got so fed up with it I deleted it.
  15. Second Spare Wheel?

    Any pics of this setup?
  16. Baja Boss A/T vs Falken Wildpeak A/T4W

Yeah, I went back and forth so many times I can't keep track for which tires and wheels I would end up with. It's interesting, all the Tacoma guys run the Baja Boss's, but very few Ranger guys run them I've found. I'm certain the top 5 tire brands that most run will work for 99% of drivers. For...
  17. Baja Boss A/T vs Falken Wildpeak A/T4W

Went with the Baja Boss to replace my OEM Hankook AT's. Still rides great on-road, but a big boost in performance off-road....Significantly better off-road in fact, yet it's still an AT tire. They are about as lightweight as I could find for a slightly bigger wheel - 44lbs. They look very...
  18. Fitting 285/75/17

    More poke perhaps?
  19. Second Spare Wheel?

Tell me what airing down does for improving punctures?
