Not sure I follow. This tune is available from Ford and approved/warrantied as long as Ford or an approved installer performs the work. Just like with Fox performance shocks. Have Ford do the work and it's warrantied. Not sure I agree with you, but you clearly have some experience in this area...

There's two things in play here: Actual mapping changes, and in your example, it's a simple change of ownership. The latter should be free. As for mapping changes, what's typical for a modified map is in the range $50-$85. This is reasonable, sorry, but $300 is not, regardless of reputation...
