That's a great color. Might be the best. I with Ford offered a Sand color.
Interesting on the tires. I went with 265/70R17 Mickey Thompson A/T's and they look pretty beefy in comparison.
I had some old Rain-X brand triple threat wheel cleaner and cleaned them all. It's dark now and tires are still wet, but I "think" I have resolved this issue. I'll know for sure in the A.M.
Haven't tried the Toyo's but they were on my short list. I'm certain they are solid.
I opted for a set of Mickey Thompson Baja Boss tires and from what you describe with your Toyo's, I could swap the same text and replace with Mickey Thompson as they are everything you describe also. I know...
Went thru a mud puddle today in the desert and spent an hour at the pressure wash to get it off. Afterwards, I now see this greenish/blue tint on my tires....outer edge and in between the tread. It's on there pretty good so not sure what I'll use to get it off, but what the heck is this?
These...
I think the Ranger is a perfect size - not too big like the Raptor and not too small to easily fit in parking spots. With a lift and wheels, it feels like a real truck, especially offroad. As much as I like the current Raptor, it's really big.
Interesting, didn't think 285's would fit. I stuck with 265's and went up to 70's to save weight and 18mm offset. The 285's tend to weigh more, but also depends on how much height you want.
Is that your OEM grill? I just replaced mine and it a bit different. Ford emblem in the middle is the same, but has much larger slots on the main front screen area. Doesn't much matter now since I installed a new one with Ford spelled out and it's more like yours now - no big gaps.
Didn't know the Ranger had a start/stop, mine never kicks in thankfully. If she's really into that, I'd change the conversation as starting and stopping your car every light isn't a good thing. But that's for you to decide. :-)
Adaptive cruise has settings you can adjust while driving when it's...
Does anyone have an image of where the AdvanceTrak button is located?
Question regarding Sand Mode. I've only tried it once, but doesn't it change the way the vehicle accelerates - I recall it became very peppy on acceleration. Also, can Sand mode be used at higher speeds? If I recall, it felt...
I think you hit the nail on the head. Sport mode and 4H is the ticket, but I didn't try this with Sand mode enabled and my wheels kept locking up and acceleration stops, likely when I start drifting in loose dirt. It's like not having an engine when this occurs. :curse:
I have no experience with them, but in looking them up, while they are A/T, they seem more road-oriented, like OEM Hankooks, for example. Here's a recent review comparing them in fact.

For A/T tires, there seems to be a...
Just installed some Mickey Thompson Baja Boss A/T's. The Tacoma guys love this tire. They have some lengthy threads with everyone showing off their new (and very large) tires. That said, I did a lot of research on what tires and rims to use as I wanted to keep the weight down. I actually really...
