Cleaned up my dash tray install yesterday. Rerouted the tube a bit to hide it and drilled out a new hole in a spare tray I ordered from Levittown. Overall pretty happy with the look of it and I retained a decent amount of tray space with the new placement.
I also installed the pressure...
Well, I got my gauge in (still tweaking the dash tray mount, so will post pics later) and everything seems fine, but I am experiencing vacuum fluttering using a ~$75 Autometer gauge. I may snag a restriction fitting at some point, but will probably leave this as is for a bit.
It looks like a few of you are using 1/4" tubing for you gauges (same blue tubing I found at Ace). The kit came with 1/8" stiff tubing and there is some 1/8" inch at Ace that says it is rated up to 55psi. Any info on tubing choice?

- cracked about 8 inches, used a rubber mallet to tap the crack back into place, and is now quite hard to see
- slight scuff...
Missed that Black Friday deal by a week... /sigh
Regardless, got mine installed along with the aFe Magnum Force Scoop. Was hitting 19.0mpg on average (on-board calculation) with 90% city driving. I understand most gains will be found with highway driving, but I figured this was a fun investment...
Any updates on this?
I have the 5star tune - have yet to ask them - curious if you were able to get your tuner to accommodate.
I am looking to get the gears to display (non-Lariat) on the bottom as they do in S mode, rather than on the left in the list when you press the +.
Has anyone else noticed the other set of holes just above the tie-downs by the cab in my first picture? The holes are about 1/4" farther apart, curious if they fit a different tie-down. Also, what are the oval holes used for that have rubber plugs in them in my second picture. It looks like...
Not exactly (if I am understanding you correctly). The skid plate comes up under the trim, but I wouldn't say that the trim comes "over" it, they kind of meet up in the front.
The herculiner is still holding up well after a few hundred mile trips, some bugs but no realy scratches or marks.
I would love to do a mechanical gauge, I am just hesitant about mounting. I wish we had an a-pillar housing or something a bit more clean than I have seen. I also wish I could find a gauge that more closely mimicked the more recent year Ford clusters with the teal needle. Uniformity is the goal...
