Man, this just happened to me twice in 3 days. One turning left and one turning right out of a business driveway and hitting a slightly bumpy gutter pan. I was not over accelerating or trying to speed out. Disappointing hopefully a fix is found or it goes away when I end up lifting the truck.
I will try to check on this. The noise sounded more like the traction control/advanced trac esque brake/wheel stabilizing sound, but I will try to replicate.
I have had an odd malfunction (or what I think is) on my front driver's side wheel a few times now. The scenario is almost always a sharp left turn from a stop where the suspension goes under load as I am turning, such as the end of a driveway, the gutter pan of a road, or something like that...
Is this what others rattles sound like? I read through this whole thread thinking I had the same thing, but my rattle is a more deep "clunky" type rattle that only occurs in 1st gear at very low rpm (probably less than 1100 or so), on slow acceleration. I have yet to try any foam.
Just wanted to bump this to mainly see if anyone has information on the pictured type of plugs. I would like to make this as clean as possible and make my own harness.
Could you explain the t-connector and crossover. Were you saying (in that first thread you linked) that you didn't cut the stock plug and connected a wire that went to a T then split to include a crossover? Sorry, I am not the most electronic savvy individual.
Hey all,
After reading through the few threads I found on tweeter upgrades I have a few remaining questions. I am looking to only upgrade the tweeters, as I have heard the high end could use some work in the Rangers. I have a 2020 XLT with no stereo upgrades and my questions are:
1. Can I...
I just took the thing out. I do not believe there were any leaks, as I could put my finger over the small pinhole outlet on the restrictor and could mute the hiss by covering it. I also used the same clamps in other places on the install and reused the ones that were used on the restrictor. All...
Seriously? Mine makes a very loud hissing with any boost, so basically any time you are accelerating on the freeway I hear a quite loud hiss. I tried to record it with my phone, but didn't get great results. I am thinking about just removing it and dealing with the needle vibrations. Curious as...
