Change fluid and filter every 30k. When you do get the pan and add an MBS dipstick. Will help slightly with temps, but really just help with the 230 peak you were experiencing.
I called mine asshole lights in the early 2000s. 2 hid driving lights under the bumper. Like 1x4 bits of sunshine. People in big cities suck and will turn their brights on just to F with you. Hello asshole lights.
No problem. Honestly wasn’t sure of you were messing around. But I was using mechanic slang. I paid more attention to RPM and gear prior to it breaking. I honestly dont look now at all. Making a Home Depot run at some point today. Long empty country road. Ill look down for the first shift...
Is this a joke or serious? Before a transmission goes bad the clearances are typically loose. So loose transmission in that sense. Or the TC/VB goes and takes everything out.
Mine is very moderately upgraded. Ill punch it in the next few days and look down. This could have been before the transmission exploded, try not to look down much when I floor it. Try not to floor it a lot too.
Loose transmission could have done all sorts of wild shit.
How deep are your pockets? This engine could hit 8k with some work but it would no longer serve the purpose of a truck engine. Would have to move the power band up. These shift around 5900-6100 based on my experience. Raising the rpm is not as advantageous on a turbo vehicle. Raising the...
Really no fixing it. A roof rack might help due to the air flow characteristics. Honestly it is like having ladder racks, they hang over the cab and make noise. For your sake I hope someone says I am a moron and there is a fix.
I have wondered if you use a metal 90 degree fitting instead of bending a hose would be better. Long term straight hose should last longer. Especially a high end silicone one.
Dunno my 21 got a new transmission last year and now its great. Im at 99k now. I dont see a point in getting newer version of the same. You want long term? And I say this with complete honesty, get an F150 with the coyote and the 6 speed used. Will last forever. Modern enough and reliable...
You can swap the flange, but it technically requires removing the differential cover. And the carrier because there is a torque test for rotating resistance.
However there are online write ups on how to do it the back yard mechanic way.
