All good - we're all learning together!
Probably some random delete thing from the factory. Weird that the CAN wires are deleted before the A pillar and after C919 but a foot of copper here and there adds $$ up when mass production is considered.
Confirmed, I don't have those terminals either - minor setback.
Looks like the wires were deleted between A pillar - C919 and the IPMA - C9224 - similar to the CAN wiring delete under the headlight.
I'll stop at the dismantlers tomorrow where I got the sensor and see if they'll let me grab the...
How were you able to 'talk' to the CCM?
I installed my stock PCM tune and created a new profile but the CCM does not show up on my module list.
I guessing it's communicating with the IPMA, because when I choose to enable Adaptive Cruise in the IPMA with the first choice in the GUI, I set a...
Yes, pins 2 and 3 in the lighter colored connector are for dedicated CAN between IPMA and ACC sensor and I can confirm that the wires going to terminals 2 and 3 are a twisted pair. (Network)
Rant - I'm not in love with what Ford is calling a brown wire but the terminal locations and the fact...
Sorry for the confusion, I also have a 2020 and when I look up the diagram for ACC, it's the same as the one that Mike shared.
The connector view for C903 shows:
19
VDB25 (GN-OG)
20
VDB26 (GY-BU)
For the record, these diagrams and pinouts are right off the Ford PTS site.
The...
I can confirm diagram is the same as 2020 as the one Mike shared so the shop manual is wrong.
I looked up the 2020 and the diagram is identical.
Edit: Shop manual wiring diagrams are correct.
All right, so we're neck in neck in this horserace. :)
Sensor is installed, wiring pulled/run, LH steering wheel switch pack installed.
I also need to hook up the wires at the A-Pillar.
Had to stop at 5:30 - had friends coming over to go out to dinner.
I'm still foggy on how to set the...
Here's the short list:
The tachometer in the XLT is actually readable and looks like what a proper truck should have
The RH display of the Lariat is useless
The XLT has a temp gauge
The XLT has a nice fuel gauge
(Did I mention the tach?)
Because some car people have a disease and we can't leave...
Take the cluster out and double check that a pin or 2 didn't get bent in the connector. I've seen experienced techs bend pins before. Plus, you're standing on your head to plug it in, did you double check that it engaged?
Mileage can be set with FORScan but only up - you can't set mileage...
Aha, I did not do that. Thanks for the info @Gizmokid2005
I will have to flash the PCM to stock first and then create a new profile unless that issue has been fixed. I was not able to create a profile with the tune in the PCM. Once the tune was removed, I was able to create a profile and...
Also, .47 doesn't exist on the FORScan site anymore. When you go to version history, the link for .47 takes you to .46. I grabbed the .47 file by changing the file location name - it did download - installed .47 and sadly, still no GUI/Easy Mode for the PCM.
I have the Ford Performance Tune...
Here's the million dollar question - why wouldn't the current release have all the features of a previous version?
Just confirmed, 2.3.48 does not have the GUI for PCM changes on mine either - also running paid version.
Truth be told, I like a Canadian beer like Molson. My tastes never got into cherry nut wheat sneaker bottom IPAs. :)
Glass of wine once in a while (I make my own wine)
I miss them too. We have a 4x4 since that's what our weather dictates here.
Is this low enough for you?
1983 Pro Street with a 466 big block, 90's paint style and all!
I don't own it anymore - no idea what happened to it after all these years.
