I think you can go to easy mode and enable Adaptive cruise menu in the IPC. I think I had to do that manually. That was 3 days ago, it's all a blur.
You also have to go into the IPC Driver Assist menu with the steering wheel buttons and change the cruise type to adaptive.
Crash warning is...
I did a module reset of the CCM and the IPMA in service functions.
As you said, this might be a lack of programming of the new CCM with what Ford calls PMI.
Mike, I sent you a PM. I can set that new module up for you with the Ford IDS.
Having a new module seems to be the caveat for not having...
Both steering wheel button swap out methods have their merits. I'm a tech so it's second nature to me to just pop the wheel off.
If I remember correctly, the more roadside obstacles the better when calibrating.
It's looking for stuff. :) Or maybe I have it backwards - remembering is hard...
Save yourself the anguish of lost screws and just pull the steering wheel.
The air bag pops off, there's 2 holes on the side/backside. A small flat blade screwdriver pushes the locking tabs in from the side. I know the pic I found has a phillips.
First one is tough, after that, it's easy...
With everyone's permission Mike, Dave, Krzysztof (Who else am I forgetting?) I can assemble a how-to. I didn't take pics so I will humbly ask to use some of the pics shared in this post.
Unless someone already started one?
My Lincoln would take you down to a dead stop!
Also fun trick - I live in a small village and the speed changes to 30MPH as you come into town.
With the cruise set at whatever your set speed was, press and hold the set speed down button and it jumps down by 5MPH at a time. Release at the...
Easy, yeah sure, let me break my truck first! hahahahaha
(Technically I was second @CHrisin gets credit for being the first)
I also will re-state my thanks. This was the first time I adjusted as-built codes manually and not using the easy/GUI way. Could not have done that without everyone...
Just had a thought - I wonder if you can add your VIN in the as-built and that's all the configuring the CC module needs?
Normally, this would be a PMI function with the Ford IDS scan tool.
I read grumblings about Ford saying, if it's not in the As-Built, it doesn't exist so future ACC club...
Multiply that 8" X 2 per truck X the number of Rangers sold. It's a larger $$ number than you think.
The one drawback I see is that 2 part numbers are needed to be stocked/created by Ford but must be the cost savings was enough to cover 2 stocking part numbers.
Ford calculates PCM memory...
Dave, double check that you don't have the ACC sensor mounted upside down.
I think mine is 2 holes on top - one hole on the bottom.
(I have the same bracket)
Service documentation for aiming the sensor shows 2 holes on top - I'm not sure if this is even an issue but it's worth pointing out...
I knew it was going to be one of the three of us.
I will thank you for the kudos, I won't brag too much but I will proudly display the trophy. :)
I couldn't have done it without the as-built codes provided here in this thread!
I want to get TC going, I have the switch. I need another VIN to...
You are correct. I have an e-locker so I went with 7.
Now to plug the Trail Control switch in to see if that's already working.
I have the VIN and as-built from my donor truck so I will have to do a little comparing.
Edit: Also, I have no trouble codes set!
Your exact numbers might be a little different but the numbers/letters in bold are the ones to change. As stated above, I made NO changes to the the APIM.
I have attached my spreadsheet.
I pushed my Ford Performance tune back in and everything still plays nicely together.
Edit: Updated...
I have adaptive cruise!!!
I have adaptive cruise!!!
I have adaptive cruise!!!
The only settings that that 'broke' something were the ones suggested for the APIM - I'm guessing it's for the 'ding' when it engages/disengages. If I use the suggested settings, I get a navigation error (I don't...
An easy grab this morning - the donor Ranger was a pretty good wreck and the IPMA and rear view mirror were sitting on the passenger seat.
The part number for the harness WITH the ACC Sensor to IPMA CAN wires in it is: KB3T-14G540
