I'll just come out and say it, I'll be the NA guinea pig if you can dumb the FORScan settings down for me please. I have only used the GUI dropdowns to make/save changes so changing the As-Built with the coding is all brand new to me.
I have the sensor mounted and need to sneak the wiring...
Button install is pretty straight forward.
I found it was just as easy to pop the steering wheel off and work on the bench as it was to stand on your head to find all the little screws that retain the trim plate around the switches.
First thing, with FORScan, make a backup of your IPC's AsBuilt.
Then install the buttons and the new to you IPC
Push the backup into the new IPC.
Open the SCCM config up in FORScan and change the RH buttons to the other available choice - If I'm remembering correctly, there are only 2 choice...
Time to paint the hooks to match.
This is a perfect match:

Not to derail too much but I have recently acquired a 3 button switch (son brought one home today from the dismantlers where he works) and I paid to have a full FORScan license so if there's anything you'd like me to try for Terrain Control, I'm your man.
Hmm, now you've piqued my interest.
If you know the code for trail control in the ABS module, and the other modules have been adjusted to accommodate ACC, I wonder if Trail Control is the next option to add?
You've added braking and throttle control, right? So adding the switches might be one...
Back to the topic at hand (my fault)
Can someone please update/share the exact list of modules that needs to be altered when adding ACC?
I'm headed to the lab where I can dig around with the IDS and the FDRS to see if they can be done the 'Ford' way.
Is this the list?
IPC
SWC
ABS
PCM
IPMA...
I bought a cluster with 18K on it and waited until I hit that mileage. With the Lariat buttons and the XLT IPC you can't switch stations, pretty much only volume works.
One of the best things I ever did.
Don't forget the RH steering wheel buttons since you have to pull the wheel to install the ACC buttons on the LH side.
People have done it without removing the steering wheel but the amount of standing on your head (figuratively, of course) did not...
I've never been able to do any PCM adjustments (that I remember) I always chalked it up to the fact that I have the Ford Performance tune.
I just grabbed 2.3.48 that replaced 2.3.41 beta that I've been on for almost a year. I will try both tomorrow if I remember to see if the PCM allows...
I added KILMAT to the back panel.
Driving is even quieter now.
This was an in-progress pic before I hit all the missing pieces here and there. It's not show perfect since it's all covered up by the carpet panel.
Absolutely!
$13 for a gallon on Amazon right now.
I just had to order a bottle this past weekend.
Been using this stuff for years - even back when white letter BF Goodrich tires were 'the thing to have' in the 80's and 90's
I'd be interested to hear how they hold up. I installed some no-name LEDs in my license plate lights and they would fail/flicker after a bit of time, maybe a month or two. Installed Philips 194 LEDs and they've been going for 6 months now.
