Fwiw, mine is dumping just past the axle and I put two carbon monoxide detectors in my topper. It didn't pick up any more CO than before. I tested the detectors with the candle test beforehand too.
If there isn't a detectable level of Co in my topper, I'd bet that the cabin Co levels are just...
Thanks for the vote of confidence! I'm going 1/4 just for my peace of mind now. What do you like to haul with your rack? Can you still retract the top?
I'm going to attach my top bars in a manner that allows me to detach then to fold my topper. I'm thinking clevis pins instead of the stupid...
The rack is as pictured in the mfg photo, but there are two, front and rear. I am toying with the idea of turning it into a full rack, but welding aluminum is not something I can do.
I've already ordered 3/16 aluminum plate, so I guess I'll have to see how that goes. Your rack looks awesome...
Working on adapting this ladder rack to fit around my soft topper. Think 3/16 aluminum plates would be stout enough to use as bed rail extensions?
I was leaning towards 1/8, but I worry it might be too thin and flex on me.. Just carrying kayaks, a diy road shower, and maybe an awning.
Absolutely love my stx, copilot360, 4x4 w/ locker. You can't get vinyl floors on anything other than an XL!! And I didn't pay a "trim level tax"!
I even have the front parking sonar that they took away from all but the lariat in 2020!
A simarly equipped XLT would have costed me 6k more...
Yes, it looks like the flaps act as out only valves, but they're so light that anytime the fan is on, there's an open hole to the outside for road noise and exhaust noise to get in.
Funny how well the seats work to block the noise!
I took it all apart and added more acoustic foam around the vents to go with my closed cell sleeping mat.
Also added a molle panel for more storage.
It's quieter than it was with just the bed mat and the plywood. I think it's about what it sounded like with the stock seats in place...
Gotta give it to livernois for their excellent customer service! I inquired about skip shifting on my tow tune and a few days later, a soft shift tow tune 87-93 octane for me to upload to my tuner.
On 87 octane, I can still break traction accelerating from 45mph..
