I finally cut open my stock muffler to see what was in there. I sketched in how the exhaust gas travels through the muffler. It was interesting, I previously knocked out the one inch restrictor at the end of the inlet pipe and I was not able to find it when I cut open the muffler!? My best guess...
Maybe at the very top end. I had knocked out that restrictor out of my stock muffler and I felt a bigger gain after that. So if you went from stock exhaust to gibson you would notice the gain for sure.
Just finished installing my Gibson 619717 exhaust from Wunder Car Parts. Can't believe I got this for 307 shipped with no tax. The only odd thing was that the inlet was labeled incorrectly on the muffler so you have to install it the other way round, probably the reason these have went on sale...

Wunder Car Parts! It was actually 307 shipped... crazy I didn't think it would come... I'm curious about the install issue people have had on this exhaust... almost looks like the inlet side is incorrectly labeled. And the muffler needs to be installed in reverse. Did you have this issue?
Well I guess I'll let the cat out of the bag. The Gibson 619717 single catback 304 stainless exhaust has went on sale for a deep discount recently. I ordered this from Wunder Car Parts for $307 shipped with no tax. I actually assumed it was not going to arrive or it would be an incomplete kit...

That's just vinyl, eventually I would like to be able to 3D print trim rings that would snap into the grill. But im pretty busy these days, maybe a company out of China could do it for us. We could do all sorts of colors.
