2WD, airaid intake, restrictor delete, 93 octane, and tonneau cover seemed to help. 28mpg was a trip along the coast and just from the readout, not hand calculated.
Sorry I've done too many things as at once to guage this. My mpg is up, but could be due to intake. A guy on FB did report a 1 sec decrease in 1/8th mile and like 1-2 mph increase in trap, so performance is there.
I really need a dragy to keep track of the dumb shit I do... but here is a 0-100 of before and after I ported the intake scoop. The post port is on the right and it actually out paces the pre port video by 100. Which confirms my butt dyno readings.
FYI the airaid does offer Dry and oiled filter options. It does look like the K&n baseline dyno is a little lower than the airaids. Looking at the pictures and formating they used the same test vehicle for both intakes. I likely would have went with the K&N if it were ever in stock!
Assuming its not just because it was a different day, variation in the dyno, or the superior flow of that sweet-sweet k&n filter... I think there is a little extra material around the inlet mouth on the airaid compared to the K&N. I'm curious if I opened it up with a dremel if it might help it...
Got the AirRaid installed tonight! I'm impressed with the quality, but its kind of rough around the edges. A few of the holes has burrs around the edges so bolts couldn't go all the way through. The scoop/inlet has a little extra material around the lip, almost looks like a leftover from a 3d...
Yeah it would interesting to cut it open and see how it's plumbed once I order an actual catback down the road. Even in that image you can see that chamber at the end is connected to the flow stream.
GTgallop it did change the tone/frequency the note is subtley deeper now. I haven't noticed a...
