I was thinking that might be the issue, or just computer foolishness. It runs for the timed 15 minutes, I'd rather have a bit of charge loss than the truck not running for a week straight (can't really decide which is better for the engine though). I did finally hear back from Start-X and have...
Yup. As I'm working from home I don't get out as much, but it's driven at least once a week for shopping and such, and I have a scheduled remote start every 2 days between those trips, so it's been 6 days since driven and 2 days since the last remote start.
I finally decided I am going this route as the Fordpass app disables the remote start if the truck hasn't run in a few days, don't know who designs this stuff. They apparently have a different part for 2020 models described as "select 2020 models", been trying to get info out of them on what...
Pretty much this. And no one makes a problem free vehicle, if there's a vehicle made in the last 5-10 years that hasn't had a recall or issue of some sort I'd be amazed.
Not necessarily, when I had my Charger I found the tires I wanted online and my dealer price matched them and gave me a discount on the install. I always make sure to develop a good relationship with my dealer for just that reason.
Appears to be a different part for the 2020's.

Good news! looks like they might have fixed it as I can now see my truck image. Only minor drawback is the app keeps saying it's not responding so remote start doesn't work, but hey, I can see my truck now so it's all good.
I've got all the important things installed on the new Ranger, now for the wants, looking for the engine cover and mounts, I think the cover is L1MZ-6A949-A, not sure on the mounting studs though, might be W714647-S450B.
I've had mine for a week, only put 200 miles on it so far. Has a comfortable ride and seating, minimal road noise, good power, and plenty of accessories/upgrades available (which I am taking advantage of). If I had to pick a negative it would be the stop/start feature, but that can be dealt with.
That is exactly my problem I think, it didn't occur to me they'd have 2 completely different systems for one feature. I an aware that the modem and fob are different signals, just assumed the remote start module would be the same across the board. May end up going with the amazon option that was...
Remote start is already enabled and working via the app from the factory, I want to program a fob that has the remote start button (mine doesn't), I know forscan can do the programming, I'm trying to find out if a fob with the start button will work.
LOL, everything seems to revolve around that. I wasn't going to install one but if it's so powerful as to solve even my problem I might reconsider... :p
Not yet but I'm going to guess it won't work for that reason as it wasn't mentioned in the manual that I could find. Seems kind of silly that it wouldn't be on the fob to begin with, but I'm wondering, it is already receiving signals from the fob for lock/unlock/panic, would it recognize the...
