I used the pigtail as well and the battery was fully charged this morning. Can't leave it permanently connected as I have to run an extension cord across my yard to plug it in right now. Gonna work on a solution to that when it warms up, also have the charger under the hood with the cord running...
Picked up one of these at the dealer today with my Pass points, have it plugged in overnight and will check on it in the morning. I only drive it one day a week due to working from home so it doesn't really get a good charge. May also look into upping the target voltage in Forscan, gotta...
This isn't anything new or a Ford thing, I did the same with my 2011 Charger in the snow, in order to rock it or get wheel spin to get moving TC needed to be turned off.
Yup, ice sucks. It was enough to bring some trees down here and there and branches were hanging low but we never lost power. Much better than our last big ice storm October 2017, power was out for a couple days.
That's just a dusting! Back in 2017 we had 3 Nor'easters in 3 weeks time, during the 3rd one we awoke at 2 am to no heat, the snow had drifted over the back side of the roof and blocked the furnace vent which was 2.5 feet above the roof. You haven't experienced winter until you're on your roof...
The amber lock button LEDs that he mentioned have no relation to the alarm system that I can find in the manual, they light up when you lock the doors to indicate they are locked, either with the fob or pushing the lock button, they turn off after a bit.
Don't remember if I posted it in this thread but my research found the 3 and 4 button fobs use different frequencies for the Ranger, so no, it won't work.
