  1. Hi, I'm Tom, and I'm a RangerHolic

Good news! Cooper can help you increase your limit. https://us.coopertire.com/tires/discoverer-rugged-trek
  2. Hi, I'm Tom, and I'm a RangerHolic

Tom… What size are your tires now?
  3. Hi, I'm Tom, and I'm a RangerHolic

Oh yeah. The wife. I think I’m way over my limit. I haven’t had to explain my new tires yet. I got Hankook DynaPro AT2 in 265/70R17 and she didn’t even notice that the M changed into a 2!
  4. Hi, I'm Tom, and I'm a RangerHolic

    Wait! There is a limit?
  5. 2021..My plans?

Is it because I asked, “Why the rear blocks?” or was there another posting that I missed?
  6. 2021..My plans?

    Why the rear blocks?
  7. Why’s my spare nicer than my factory wheels

The LT version of the Hankook tires are almost 1/2” greater diameter than the standard load rated tire that is the spare. Perhaps more than a few miles might start to cause issues. It will probably trigger the traction control and ABS to shut-off.
  8. Auto Start no longer functioning.

It should, but it seems it gets out of sync every now and then. I travel on planes a lot. After a couple of months of 4-5 days parked at the airport each week, I need to charge it.
  9. Auto Start no longer functioning.

The Ranger has a variable alternator and just because the engine is running doesn’t mean that the battery is charging. The BCM and PCM control when the alternator sends charging voltage to the battery. The battery is rarely kept at a 100% charge.
  10. Auto Start no longer functioning.

The battery is low and needs to be recharged. When charging, connect the negative wire to a chassis ground, not the negative battery terminal. Otherwise the BMS will not detect the charge and the BCM will continue to prevent the auto start stop feature from operating. See video...
  11. Pics of 265/70/17 tire

I don't mind the raked look. To be honest, this looks level to me. I haven't aligned it yet and I'm still deciding if I want to keep this height. I did it to mimic the Tremor stance, which is advertised as 1" over stock. So my shocks are adding 8/10ths of an inch and the tires the additional...
  12. Pics of 265/70/17 tire

Hankook Dynapro AT2 using Bilstein 6112 front coils and shocks set to 0.80" higher than stock. I also used these tires with the stock suspension. Either way; there is lots of clearance.
  13. Spacers plus aftermarket crash bar = ?

I have read that before. However, they redesigned the knuckles for all of the 2021 Ford Rangers. Someone in marketing grabbed on to that and ran with it. Even to describe it as "Lifted" is a stretch. AND to claim the tires are 32" is rounding up. I have inspected the knuckles on the Tremor...
  14. Spacers plus aftermarket crash bar = ?

Bigger knuckles? They are the same.
  15. New Mexico Like new set of OEM STX package Tires, Wheels and Spare for sale

What part of New Mexico are you in?
  16. TPMS Receiver Location?

My spare tire was a different size. TPMS in the spare probably would have generated errors if used.
  17. 69 days, still no tags. What next?

Okay. I saw this video recently and thought your situation might be similar:
  18. 69 days, still no tags. What next?

Is this a new Ranger or preowned? If this is new, then there is a big problem. Are you waiting to make you first payment? If so, then you need to send a payment by certified mail to the dealership. If this is preowned, then it’s an issue that needs to be cleared up soon, but laws vary a lot in...
  19. Ford Performance Tune

I don’t think that is in reference to the capability, but refers to having a manufacturer warranty with the tune. In other words, there are other FPP products sold that specify the use of tires up to 265/70R17 so the published features don’t include larger tire sizes.
  20. Ad Blocker iPhone Safari Forum Unreadable

I’m sitting at an airport fiddling with all the settings. There is a second switch to activate content blockers. It seems like it is working.
