I’d trade right now for a bronco truck. Like mentioned above, the truck bed is just hard to give up. I’ve got the fridge, camping gear load out, roof tent and can still fit two bikes and a kayak on the roof. Can’t do that with any SUV unless you start stacking or pull a trailer.
Although...
I think you took my words in a different tone then I had intended. I’m not saying you are incorrect in your understanding of knock but your accusations that I’ve never heard preignition nor know the fundamentals of engine management is a poorly chosen assumption. My statement still stands as to...
Do you monitor your knock all the time with a monitor? If you aren’t monitoring it when you drive then you wouldn’t notice the engine knock because it’s usually happening. I watch mine with the NGauge so I know how the truck is doing and what the fuel is up to. 91 is a rather weak fuel compared...
Finding decent gas here in Colorado is pretty difficult. Most of the 91 octane here causes knock (tuned) on the stock tune it does fine but tuned the fuel doesn’t hold up. Running an E50 tunemixing E85 and 91 results in a fantastic fuel for making power. Especially in the heat.
I do run an...
Excellent write up!!
A tip: the sign indication will revert to blank after making an indicated turn. I’m assuming this is done because the speed limit on the road you just turned on may have a new speed limit.
Also the speed limit warning function works as expected. You can set the number of...
I’m thinking so. I’m not certain of any vehicles with the same IPC as the XLT that also have the IPMA. Unless the Lane Keep system is available on XLT then it should have the IPMA but might be missing the ICP operations needed to display it.
Well this is instantaneous readout. It’s able to read signs from construction and temporary speed areas. It is real time which is far more valuable than the GPS and map data that is only good for the time at which the data was entered. After the maps are released plenty of speeds have changed...
Ahh yeah that makes it harder. Nearly all the changes can be done with clicking a box rather than changing the As Built data. So if you did have access to a PC I could always walk you through it.
Took some time to figure out but... you need to enable the graphics and controls within the IPC configuration module first. This gives the the menu option to enable and disable the speed limit recognition and speed warning in the menu.
(I don’t have the specific points to modify as I’m at...
I suppose I’ve made my truck more of a Ute now hah. First thing I did was put a diamondback cover on to keep the snow and people out of the bed. I’d really miss brining my fridge, chainsaw, grill, table, and all the other goodies that wouldn’t fit in the bronco.
I’ve thrown the idea around too, haha. I would really miss the bed space for gear. My plan is to wait for the new gen of f150 raptor and see what changes. If I like it then I’ll trade in if not I’ll see how the new Ranger looks on paper.
It could be a complete waste of time if they do in fact change the geometry of the front end. I won’t know till I can measure a unit in person. Exciting to think it could work though!
So I’m thinking about buying the disconnecting sway bar that will be on the Bronco off road models when they are available.
The Bronco shares the same front suspension architecture and seeing an image of where the module is mounted it looks like it will fit without any issues until I can get...
