Yeah the BDS shackles have been replaced with the OME shackles. They are quite a bit better in build than the BDS to be honest.
They are grease-able as well with better bushings. The kit will come with bushings to replace all the factory ones. Including the larger front one.
Okay, leafs are in!
The truck is definitely not the ranger I bought a year ago. With the front coils and now these leaf springs it rides so much better.
Rear of the truck feels smoother over bumps, gained 1.5” of lift over stock leafs with 400 lbs of gear in/on the bed.
Axle now articulated...
Glad my experience could help you out! It is pretty much inevitable that the shaft will pull out because of how little give there is when trying to install the taller strut. Hope the other side goes smoothly for you!
Well from my understanding the leafs are mean to be sold with the shocks as a kit. But stage 3 is offering the leafs as an individual upgrade option which I am very happy to see. Another issue is the massive disconnect from ARB AUS to USA which has really limited the information on parts. So...
Okay so the install is on hold now. The kit is missing the bushing kit which Jason with stage3 will add to the kit from now on. Always uncharted territory with new parts like this so it’s understandable. ARB has the kit in stock and hopefully it will ship soon. Until then I’ll post the pics of...
If you haven’t heard of FORScan before then this link here is a good place to start. The disable horn honk is the first one on the list.
If you need help PM me and I can walk you through it!
Hah yeah I didn’t take that statement with much thought. Unfortunately ARB USA isn’t very forthcoming with the exact details on these leaf springs. I might try to call ARB AUS and see if they can provide some more accurate info on the leafs. Either way I’m hopeful that I can get a little more...
I went with the 1.7” lift pack for the best ride on the icon 2.5” shocks. They say 1.5” is the “optimal” lift height but they can go higher just didn’t get the feeling they recommend much higher than this and the 2.2” leaf pack might be extending the shocks too far and ruin the ride as well as...
Yes it’s accessible from the rear as it usually is. I dropped the tire to work on all this. The view you see is looking from the rear differential to the bumper. So the winch and funnel point are behind all of this.
Okay air compressor is installed and running like a dream. Really happy with how this worked out. I’ll have to make a more detailed post later with how it all went.
Plenty of clearance in this area and would be nice if a machine shop could make some custom brackets for everyone else to utilize...
The upgrade sway bar end links are quite a bit stronger than the factory ones that are essentially plastic. I decided it would be a good upgrade considering the added weight of the truck with all the mods and trail abuse over time. Just didn't trust them for what I want to use the truck for.
I...
I have some fluid dynamics doubts for this intercooler as far as the end tanks are concerned.. tapered from the bottom to the top rather than having equal distance from the air source would be indicative of unequal flow through the intercooler. I’d love to see someone run a modeling test on...
