I agree with the air box not being worth the cost. It’s not allowing any more air into the system if it’s using the same size inlet as stock. I’d like to see a box with a new and improved scoop if that’s possible.
The theory is correct but in application I don’t see the volume increase from what looks to be 1.25” pipe to 2.5” pipe causing a “noticeable” delay in pressurization of that particular segment of pipe. From my perspective I see the positives of less static restriction within that larger pipe to...
I thought the same when looking at them. The hot side definitely is tiny.
On a side note. I’m not so sure we need to tune for the charge pipes as they are only facilitating the movement of air in the system. Not increasing any metrics that the ecu cant already account for.
In the article cited...
I called AFE and asked how many they have made for this batch. He said 5... 3 already ordered haha. I ordered one just now and it should be shipping soon. Only 1 left!
I’ll see if I can get someone to tune for it once it arrives.
Since these are flow rate increases I don’t think we would need to retune for them? Freeing up power not really adding power...As the ECU can measure and adjust for the air it takes in.
I am looking for anyone that has information on what color coded wire is used for the puddle lamps and rear cargo lamp from the driver side kick panel. I just installed a baja designs dome light on my diamondback over as a cargo light and need to find which wire goes to the rear cargo light so I...
I’m in the springs north gate area. I can help if you are local or walk you through it on the phone if you are comfortable with doing it yourself.
As for the trails, this is mine on hermit pass. Has 2.5” level and 32” tires.
Love seeing the saber color out in the wild. I haven’t personally seen another saber truck in my area.
Here are some of mine doing a little stretching in the mountains.
Took the truck out this weekend on Hermit Pass just outside Westcliffe, CO.

Truck still amazes me. Got it on two wheels going up a 6 degree incline without the rear locked and it was able to apply traction perfectly...
It’s frustrating.. I called today to see what the status of my tune revision is since it’s been two weeks since they told me it would be one week turn around. Guy answers the phone like I’m already a waste of his time. Tells me someone will get back to me in a few days.. Spectacular customer...
No, because the truck then assumes it can add timing and boost with a LOR of -1.00 which it can’t because the tables of the tune are clearly an issue and aren’t set up properly.
Doesn’t. It knocks under light loads and steep timing. Such as flat highway at 65 with the cruise set. It will knock in the 2-6 range, so much so that I got annoyed and decided to drive the truck until the LOR dropped down to account for whatever is causing knock. It dropped to -.62 so I assumed...
Not pleased with the 5 Star Tune. Been waiting since the 14th for a tune revision and haven’t even received an email back since. Performance tune gets way to much knock on 91 and the adaptive tune is slower than stock. No one seems to care if you call either.. just get an attitude if I ask any...
Does anyone here have a good product or method of keeping gear from moving around in the bed? With a bed cover I’m using the bed to hold pelican cases and camping gear but need a way to keep it all in place without making it a 20 min tie and untie situation.
Thanks in advance!
