  1. I quit my job, but snagged you guys a cool pic on the way out...

I just ordered a generic heater control valve to install inline and hopefully prevent the dreaded heater box warpage. These trucks have full heat through the heater core at all times leading to all kinds of failures (planned ?). I'm glad i don't have the big screen (hint). No dual control...
  2. Worst Window Defrost Ever

You can't defog inside glass on recirc. This just turns turns the passenger compartment into a sauna. Fresh air is dried on the way thru the heater core and absorbs the moisture on the glass and removes it via the cab venting. With the AC on, it super dries the fresh air and removes this extra...
  3. Looking for a comparative picture of a stock strut next to a lift aftermarket strut, trying to make a point

Here is a thread with pics. https://www.ranger5g.com/forum/threads/what-is-this-set-at.12778/#post-253789

  5. Fox stage 1 suspension support OME rear leaf kit

The shocks will be fine. The concern is with compressed length. To run a longer shock you need to use longer bumpstops or lift blocks to prevent crushing the shock. The way the leaf springs are designed I doubt the shocks will be the limiting factor.
  6. CENTER JACK POINTS

The red lifting point in the front is showing the tranmission cross member. This is the wrong place to lift. Should be lifting from the front suspension crossmember like in the photo.
  7. UCA for Ford Ranger with lift kit

These are a really good choice. They come with a highest quality balljoint.
  8. 2019 Heater Box failed. Getting rid of this truck.

From my observations it does full sweep calibrations every key on event. This is why when you start the truck the blower and vent choice doesn't come on immediately . It takes a few moments to gather its thoughts , so to speak, and then applies the drivers control choices. These are all the busy...
  9. anyone tried H&R front springs?

Were your upper arms in a ride height neutral position and THEN tightened against the rubber bushings ? This will affect ride quality. I assume the bottom bushings were released during the wheel alignment. Tire type, tread and pressure also affect ride quality.
  10. UCA for Ford Ranger with lift kit

I paid 400 CAN for my rough contry arms. I cant see paying 1100 CAN for BDS or other brand names. They do the exact same job. https://bds-suspension.ca/2019-ranger-upper-control-arm-uca-kit-bds123252
  11. 2019 Heater Box failed. Getting rid of this truck.

The clicking noise is the worm gear in the blend door actuator skipping over a tooth because it cant locate its stop parameters during its calibration sweep. It is a problem in the actuator contacts that provide an inaccurate or non existant voltage signal. This confuses or calibrates the stops...

  13. Lift combination

Here is a good kit, but if heat is a concern I would get remote reservoirs. https://caloffroad.com.au/4x4-lift-kit-tour-pack-CalOffroad-platinum-series-3-inch-lift-fits-ford-ranger-px3-2018-on/ reservoir type with all kinds of options...
  14. It’s done. One piece driveshaft!

Can you post the part numbers for those flanges ?
  15. It’s done. One piece driveshaft!

This is all just theory based on simulation. Every vehicle is unique. A shaft that size will spin at 100mph all day long, like they have spun for for biliions of miles in vehicles over the years. Drive and enjoy as driveline failures are very rare. If anything, the factory setup is has a...
  16. It’s done. One piece driveshaft!

    3285 driveshaft rpm would occur at 85 mph with 285/70r17 tires. 3285 /3.73ratio=880.7 x 60 = 52842 /617 rev per mile =85mph.
  17. Noisy Suspension - Strut? UCA Bolt? Upper Ball Joint?

The upper strut shaft nut is loose or not clamping.
  18. Brake Controller confusion

The trim is hit and miss whether you break some clips. The warmer it is will reduce the chances. I broke a few clips and one tab as the holes are sharp and burred. I used silicon grease on all clips for reassembly. I only partially popped the rear cab plastic and didn't touch the headliner...
