  1. Rustproofing in The Great White North

Best stuff is Rust Cure Formula 3000 available at crappy tire. It won"t harm rubbers and plastics. It wins all the tests when applied correctly.
  2. Sway bar disconnect

This style will not work as they won"t rotate with the steering knuckle as you steer. They are meant for solid axle configurations.
  3. TSB 20-2277 2019-2020 Ranger - Shudder/Vibration When Accelerating From A Stop

Has anyone disconnected or removed the rear driveshafts and gone for a drive to see if this eliminates the shudder and vibrations ? How tight are the ujoints - is there any binding or notchy feeling to them ? I have seen tight ujoints cause all kinds of steering problems in front axles and...
  4. RCMUSTANG's Magnetic FX4

Where can I purchase these bumpstops ?
  5. Where should oil level be on dipstick?

If it is at the top hole with less than 5 1/2 quarts in it you should read the fuel in oil thread.
  6. Where should oil level be on dipstick?

Oil capacity is 6.2 quarts. Your oil level is at the botom hole on the dipstick. You have to dip the stick in about 3 inches from fully seated a couple or more times and wipe between dips before you can get an accurate reading. Without removing the lingering oil in the dipstick tube and guides...
  7. How long is your dipstick ?

Hopefully others with this problem can have a dealer perform these tests and witness the bleed down. As I have stated previously, the major fuel levels in the crankcase have to be coming from a "plumbing" leak and are not a running issue. The very slow increasing levels are from faulty pcv...
  8. How long is your dipstick ?

Maybe I'm missing your point, but this is exactly what you want happening inside a "rich" engine. The catch cans fill up faster in the winter due to Thermal Difference and the laws of condensation.
  9. Fuel in oil

5% oil dilution is less than 300ml. Nothing to really be concerned with.
  10. Suspension list (from softest to firmest)

Spacers are the way lift it without affecting the spring rate and stiffness.
  11. How long is your dipstick ?

It is just a piece of old plywood.
  12. How long is your dipstick ?

Once again, this is false information. Most of the "burn off" occurs at idle under high vacuum and low block oil sling/cavitation. This happens when the throttle body is closed.
  13. How long is your dipstick ?

I would suspect the pcv switching valve stuck momentarily creating a code from incorrect pressures. But many things can trip this type of code. Clear it and see if it returns.
  14. How long is your dipstick ?

Turbo charging an engine creates a pressurized intake system eliminating all intake manifold vacuum. This creates almost zero removal of crankcase fumes. A normally aspirated engine is almost always turning over the air inside the crankcase where as the turbo engine is only doing this when...
  15. How long is your dipstick ?

Fixed and the dipsticks should register the same volume of oil in the same markings. Remember that adding a level kit changes the 6.2 quart full mark.
  16. How long is your dipstick ?

Here are some pictures of mine. This might help as a starting point to those monitoring their oil levels/volumes properly as well as Fords quality control in manufacture of this part. The Fuel in Oil thread is getting long winded, full of misinformation and probably doing a disservice to all us...
  17. What is this set at?

Thanks for the pics. It looks like they are about one inch longer and should result in 2 more inches of down travel.
  18. What is this set at?

Any chance you can show a measurement from mounting surface to mounting surface ? I am curious about the overall length compared to stock. I believe these come factory set at 2 inches above stock height. Adjustments are basically a 1:2 ratio. Compressing the spring another 1/2 inch will result...
  19. Replace block with springs(upgrade)

I would buy the Icon rear spring kit for its adjustability. Part #198520A and 91200H for ubolt kit if needed.
  20. Fuel in oil

I waited about 1 hour for the first 325ml and about 20 minutes for the next 325ml. It is a misconception that the oil takes a while to drain down to the pan. Engines are designed with adequate drain galleries to return oil back to the pan as quick as possible. It drains as fast as it pours.
