  1. Ready to upgrade suspension.

I installed the Global Leaf springs. I purposely waited before installing my Eibach Pro Truck 2.0 with rear resi. The springs raised the rear height just over 3/4" I was surprised by how much of a difference it made. It was noticeably smoother over bumps and the front lost 50% of the porpoising...
  2. The Iconic Ranger, let's keep it "Stock"

It looks great! Are your sliders angled up 15 degrees?
  3. The Iconic Ranger, let's keep it "Stock"

Thanks much for the info! This tire is now on my shortlist.
  4. Faded Window Trim Restoration

My faded window trim was replaced under warranty. I haven't had any issues since. Great improvement on yours though.
  5. The Iconic Ranger, let's keep it "Stock"

I really like your build! How do you like the Maxis Razr AT? It seems a bit heavy, but it looks like a sleeper of a tire that may be a good deal. Does it make much noise on the road? How does it perform offroad for you?
  6. Ideal Back Spacing

From my understanding, a +25 to +30 backspacing is ideal for scrub radius and clearance.
  7. Goodyear Wrangler Ultraterrain - Is anyone running these?

Well, the sizing isn't a problem for me or I wouldn't be considering this tire. Neither is the fact that it's exclusive to Discount Tire. I'm in the South West and you can hardly through a rock without hitting a Discount or Americas Tire (being facetious), they are everywhere. The question is...
  8. Goodyear Wrangler Ultraterrain - Is anyone running these?

Thanks much! I had read that they were stone throwers.
  9. Goodyear Wrangler Ultraterrain - Is anyone running these?

I stumbled across some very positive reviews for the Goodyear UltraTerrain A/T. Apparently, it's a tire that Goodyear makes exclusively for @Discount Tire in limited sizes. It looks similar to a DuraTrac. Here is a link: https://www.discounttire.com/buy-tires/goodyear-wrangler-ultraterrain-at...
  10. SPC adjustable

I just installed these along with my Eibach Pro Truck 2 kit. The SPC UCAs are a quality piece. Just an FYI, the D setting is for caster. Camber can be adjusted by loosening the big nut to slide the knuckle in or out.
  11. 5280Ranger Build

I do appreciate the input, thanks! If I had my way, I would go with the 34-10.50r17 KO2. Way too expensive though!
  12. 5280Ranger Build

Thanks much. I installed the Eibach Pro Truck 2 with rear reservoirs and SPC UCAs on my truck yesterday. I adjusted them to a 2.5" lift overall since the rear Global Leaf springs I installed raised the rear almost an inch. I'm fairly confident that 285/70s would fit on stock wheels and a 1"...
  13. 5280Ranger Build

This is a great build thread. I noticed that you changed tires a few times. I'm curious about what you thought of the LT255/80R17 AT3. Is there a reason you switched to the LT285/75R17 KO2s?
  14. What did you do to your Ranger today?

I thought about the 275/70R17, but I don't want a load range E tire. The BFG KO2 255/75R17 is 32.1" tall and much lighter. I like some of the advantages of a narrower tire, but I don't want anything less than 32".
  15. What did you do to your Ranger today?

I installed the Eibach Pro-Truck Stage 2 kit with rear reservoirs and SPC upper control arms. It took most of the morning. I installed the rear Global Leaf Springs a few weeks back and it raised the rear over 3/4". I was measuring 39-1/8" at the rear fenders. As a result, I adjusted the front...
  16. New shoes on stock 18’s

I've always liked the looks of DuraTracs, but the constant complaints about road noise as they start to wear has kept me away.
  17. TOOLS! ?‍??‍?

From my understanding, there is a difference in quality between tools manufactured in China vs tools manufactured in Taiwan. Those manufactured in Taiwan are supposed to be better. GearWrench is an example.
  18. Front strut replacement

Try a local machine shop. They are great for such things. I had some bushings that I needed to have pressed out of the rear lower control arms for my Mustang. My local machine shop was able to press them out and install the upgraded ones for a reasonable fee.
  19. Yikes! Are they really this expensive?

I thought that as well. This particular dealership was owned by Penske and had surprisingly good service and a reputation for fair pricing. However, they sold it three or four months ago and it became Sedano Ford. This Raptor was the first thing I saw when walking into the service/parts dept. I...
  20. Yikes! Are they really this expensive?

Went to pick up some new front axle nuts from my local dealer for Eibach Coilover install. I saw this special order Raptor on the lot apparently waiting for its new owner. Check out the sticker and ADM!
