Thanks! Yeah it was a tun of fun, a little nerve wracking at times too haha.
Yep, I kept it in the Mud/Ruts mode most of the time. I've noticed that if you just keep it in normal 4H in mud, the throttle is too laggy since you have to wait for the engine to downshift which can be problematic...
This past weekend I drove down to Rush Off-road park in Rush, KY and took the Ranger. Huge, technical park with a labyrinth of never ending trails. Everyone at the park stared at the Ranger and remarked, "you're taking THAT on the trails?? Hope you come out in one piece!"
Needless to say, my...
Let's use this thread to post off-roading/wheel pics and videos! I'll start.

Also, please update with the spacers! Will be interested in seeing how it affects ride and handling. As well as bolt on procedures/modifications if necessary.
Did you get the PCM reflashed? There is a TSB out for early build date Rangers that helps smoothen out transmission shifts and helps with cold idle stumbling.

A little bit of a sidetrack that a lot of people may not know about: The Ranger Lightning Bolt.

It was a one-off prototype that SVT made back in the day. It has 345s in the back to accommodate the 450 lb-ft of...
Uhhhh but the 2TRFE doesn't come with a turbo...so what's your point? No one "needs" to turbo their engines, but it helps with fuel economy. It's not like Ford can't make a perfectly capable NA V6 - just look at the base F150. So...what's your point again?
If Ford comes out with a Ranger Raptor, I agree that it will only come with a EB V6. Added power, but softer suspension/taller ride height so it will be less capable. Therefore won't hurt F150 sales with a more powerful midsize truck. I doubt that the normal ranger will get a 2.7 because that...
The tires have been phenomenal, I highly recommend them especially because of their value. I've never driven the standard go-to KO2's or any mud terrain, but these tires did a great job on the trails. It got real muddy down in Kentucky and while they will clog if you're always driving slowly in...
Unfortunately, it's not that simple. I'm not saying that you're wrong, but I want to raise some points to consider.
OEM's do a pretty good job at matching a powertrain so that it can operate in its most efficient sweet spot in most driving conditions. Engine's need a certain amount of load to...
What kind of prices were you expecting? These are on the much cheaper side for wheels - any decent aftermarket set of wheels is going to cost you at least a grand.
I agree that the offset is disappointing. If these offered a nice flush stance, I would have hopped on these right away.
If you don't plan to do any real off-roading, I don't see much need for the FX4 tbh. The FX4 shocks ride harsher too. If you don't like the air dam, you can always just take it off! The sport appearance package will also give you the cooler looking front bumper too if that's the look you're...
