  1. Brake pedal too stiff

What post got steamrolled? A thread was started about bad brake pedal feel, and people chimed in with their experiences and how they improved it.
  2. Ohhh The Butt Hurt. Looks like the Poopy Bus is here. LOL

I learned to drive on a Massey Ferguson 231, like this one: I told my classmates at school that I spent the summer cruising in my dad's red convertible.
  3. Ohhh The Butt Hurt. Looks like the Poopy Bus is here. LOL

CONFIRMED! THEY are indeed fixing it: https://www.ranger5g.com/forum/threads/can-we-stop-linking-to-ranger6g.20439/page-8#post-570743
  4. Ohhh The Butt Hurt. Looks like the Poopy Bus is here. LOL

Lately I've routinely seen half or more of the "Latest Posts" on the main Forum page be links to threads on the 6g forum. Just checked and there's now none (though the trending discussions are still predominantly 6g links, like in your screenshot). Perhaps "THEY" have finally realized that the...
  5. Tie downs

Asides from concerns about how robust they are, I place the odds that they are sized correctly for the hole spacing or that the bolts are the right size at somewhere between slim and none.
  6. Is a 10,000 mile oil change interval ideal for the 2.3L?

This is an internet forum, so obviously we're all oil experts. In all seriousness, I think you can trust the folks at Blackstone (since they are actual oil experts and not just randos on the internet) when they say "The viscosity was more like a 5W/20, but that's not a concern." Keep an eye on...
  7. Evidently everyone is doing the Mod thing these days....

We all know that the thread that needs to happen over there is "fuel in oil." Make it happen.
  8. Side Steps - Yes/No

My truck came without steps and one of my first mods was to add them. Wife appreciates them and the kids outright need them. If you don't use them, there's no practical reason to leave them on, so just do what you like the look of better.
  9. Hail!

I've got a tiny dimple on the hood from a previous hailstorm. The hail started as I was driving home from work. I pulled into a gas station to get under cover, but the wind was blowing so hard that I was still getting pelted during gusts. No damage to the paint, and the dimple is only visible at...
  10. Judge rules Ford and GM responsible for 10R80 Transmission Failures

Well there was that one guy who wanted a class action lawsuit about the fact that there was a 3/4-inch difference in height between the two sides of his truck: https://www.ranger5g.com/forum/threads/2019-2022-ford-ranger-suspension-defect-class-action.18479/
  11. A Subie took me out.. Estimate guesses?

That sounds like when the school buildings in my hometown got renovated. The school board selected the lowest bidder. Since the original estimate was a couple million under what was approved by voters for the bond, school officials started coming up with extra things they would do (renovate the...
  12. A Subie took me out.. Estimate guesses?

My guess is $8911.07 My advice is to get the repair scheduled as quick as possible. I thought I noticed a trend so I graphed people's estimates...people's estimates are going up quickly as more time goes by. At this rate, the truck will be totaled by sometime next week!
  13. Fuel in oil

What was the cause of your CEL?
  14. Ford Dealers Got Greedy

In college I got a part-time paid research position that was funded by a local elderly couple. I have no idea how much money they had, but they funded about 2 dozen of these positions every year and were also prominent boosters of the rowing program, so they had some pretty substantial cash at...
  15. Ford Dealers Got Greedy

I would think that it also cuts down on personnel costs, since they don't need people around putting much effort into selling the vehicles. It's a bit of a bummer for me just because I can't test drive a Carnival here in town to see if I like it. If we get more serious about upgrading to the...
  16. Ford Dealers Got Greedy

I was at the local Kia dealership a few months ago for a recall, and while I was waiting I took a stroll around the showroom. Almost every vehicle was marked "sold." They had a wall where they posted the window stickers for all the cars that hadn't arrived yet, also almost all marked sold. Asked...
  17. SHROCKWORKS out of business?

I think (and remember, I didn't stay in a Holiday Inn Express last night) that the last line means that the default position in the absence of defining agreements is that consignor is liable, though consignee becomes liable if the carrier isn't getting paid. However, in this case, there are...
  18. SHROCKWORKS out of business?

Here's what appears to be a detailed, well-referenced, semi-technical article on the topic written by actual lawyers. I haven't read it, but I'm guessing it provides better info than anybody will provide on a pickup forum. https://www.scopelitis.com/scopelitis/assets/dynapsis/Carrier Must Get...
  19. SHROCKWORKS out of business?

I'm not a lawyer, don't play one on TV, and I didn't even stay in a Holiday Inn Express last night, so feel free to treat what follows as the hairbrained rambling of an internet rando that it is. I'm guessing they're grasping at straws. Shrockworks undoubtedly used the same shipper repeatedly...
  20. Never pass up a good deal...

I'm not saying I shop a lot at Menards, I'm just saying when we moved to WV, they opened a store in town literally the same day we moved in. Clearly their market research revealed that us moving here is what would make the new store financially feasible. Our other option in town for Big Box...
