So, I'm getting my topper on Monday and I was wondering a few things:
A.R.E. Z2
1. How do I clean the windows between the cab and topper?
My thought is to clean just before topper installation and apply a rain repellant such as Rainex. Is that a good idea or will it cause issues down the...

Of course, there IS a stop sale because of drive shaft issues.
...on a Lariat?
I can't seem to find it.
My wife has one on her Escape and I use it to see the MPG I'm getting at a particular time to help me find sweet spots.
I just turned 1,000 miles and I've been noticing a slight skipping when starting off especially when it's cold (not warmed up). It's been happening since around 500 miles but I figured it would work itself out.
This is my first turbo vehicle and I know there's a delay when "punching it" as...
Lariat FX4-
So, when I start the truck, it's very loud as it's warming up. Not a bad sound - not like there's something wrong. My 5.0L F150 wasn't this loud as it warmed up.
It's also as loud as I start off.
It just seems louder then it should be.
Just commenting...not complaining.
Lariat FX4: There's been lots of talk about the ride being bouncy... especially on the FX4. I never seemed to feel that. When I picked up my truck (August 26), I noticed the tire pressure was set to 40 lbs for all 4 wheels. I loved the ride and have had no complaints so I left it alone.
Last...
I want to add the "Sport Trac" style fender tie down cleats on the Ranger once I get the A.R.E. cap with the roof rails.
Because of the dissimilar metal issues (alum vs steel), I need to know what the bed walls are made of:
Fenders:

I'm in the process of focusing on bed protection.
The truck (Lariat FX4 with most options) has the Ford factory spray on bed liner. It pretty nice even though it's NOT as nice as Linex.
So far I have two of the swing cases that I just received and have not yet installed.
I've also ordered an...
I've read in various areas on this forum about changes the computer makes at different mileage intervals.
That said, I thought it would be a good idea to have that information in one place.
For instance, I read that mpgs change at 1,000 miles and again at 5,000 miles. If this is true, I...
I accidentally stumbled across this trick.
First of all, you must have the power folding mirror option (duh)
I noticed that pressing the button to fold the mirrors is deactivated when you turn the truck off...BUT it remembers if you press it upon next start.
So...
I fold the mirrors while...
So, this is my 6th truck over the years. The last 4, I've had Linex as a bed liner. Love that stuff.
The Ford bed liner is nice but is lacking in thickness and complete coverage over Linex.
It doesn't completely cover the floor at the tailgate. Now, what reason would Ford have for not...
Does anyone know if those tie downs the SportTrac had on the outside the bed are available for the ranger?
I had the exact truck in this picture and I used those hooks all the time. Very useful.
So, I just picked up my Lariat on Monday and hurricane Dorian is expected to hit this coming Monday...yup, 1 week.
I live in South Florida and the track is moving further south at each advisory. Garage is full of "stuff" that has to be taken in or it becomes flying debris. No room for my...

What's the button/sensor on the dash? (See pic)
Also, I lowered the seat back on the rear and it has this black contraption that I have no clue what it is. It's round and flat and looks like it has a vent. Does it have anything to do with the B&O sound system?
I know the article refers to an F150 but just saw this and I thought I'd ask.
