JUST got back from dropping it off at the shop. Told them, in vivid, gory detail, of what occurred.
As a side note - this was supposed to have been an "awesome" vacation for my wife and I. The transmission first then my sister is now ill and the cleaning ladies left our front door open and let...
So we made it home okay thankfully.
A few observations...after setting the code we pulled off and cleared the code. No issues through to Lake City, FL. That morning started out and started having some shifting issues after warming up. Pulled off at a rest stop and shut it off. Started back up...
So first time I did, admittedly, cry wolf (thanks spark plug boot lol).
So we are at 82k miles - the sweet spot I guess?
This time unfortunately issues started happening with my wife and I in the truck on I10 heading to Florida for a weeks vacation.
P0766 was the code I pulled. Transmission...
So I have been having an intermittent issue on my Drivers side outboard back up sensor in the bumper. It will work fine for 2-3 days or more...then out of the blue it will go full red like there is an obstacle close.
I've wiped down the sensor in case there was any kind of film blocking the...
I think he hit the nail on the head here - Euro spec vehicles have a rear fog light. I actually had a 2013 Ford Escape and swapped the lower reflectors for a pair of same year Ford Kuga rear fogs and lower brightness bulbs for a more factory "custom" effect.
I do agree that you should be much...
So the swap of plastic to the Mishimoto pan wasn't too bad (even with pending shoulder surgery).
I tried one of the harbor freight hand transfer pumps. Meh. I took my compressed air brake bleeder and some tubing and did it just fine - (see shoulder issue above lol)
I got lucky with all my...
So got my truck back (yay now I can install the Mish trans pan and dipstick tube :P )
Geico MBI actually covered all but 700 dollars of the repair and for that I am VERY happy as I wasn't expecting much from it. I give them a bit thumbs up on helping me out on that.
One observation - the...
So a small update - after talking to Geico and the dealer the MBI will actually cover the labor as well as parts (at least one plug and COP) and since the tune up will be going forward with the noted issue IF there are other broken plugs and noted issues they will cover that as well. Will it be...
With the MBI from Geico...I AM HOPING that they understand that the fault occurred before the scheduled maintenance period AND was also causing drivability and code/fault level issues therefore do not fall under normal wear and tear items - coupled with the mfg not installing the engine cover...
So...the rearmost plug is #1. - EDIT - after the post from airline tech I am more interested in this conversation...common sense tells me that #1 will always be closest to the front of the vehicle. That and the fact that my driveway is at a rake of about 4-5 degrees and I back in it makes a ton...
