Is that a thing? Iāve never heard of of batteries going on sale (but Iām Canadian so what do I know lol)
Itād be nice when I see my favourite service advisor tomorrow (or Monday), so Iāll have to ask her š
I think sheās on her way. Last night on about a half hour driving started to get lights lighting up (mostly front radar and charging system).
I still need my Sync to be updated properly, but it gave the message that it was shutting down also.
fun drive wondering what was coming next. Lotās o...
ā19 Ranger - bought March ā19 (assembled in Jan I believe). Still original battery.
ā17 Escape - bought Octoberā16. Still original battery.
I disable auto-start/stop every time I drive (part of the start up/take-off procedures!). A couple years ago people didnāt seem sold on AGM batteries but...
Had it come out of my ā17 Escape, and a friend had it coming out of his ā16 Expedition.
I know for my Escape, it had some spirited driving over the course of 5 hours on a hat summer day, so I wasnāt actually surprised š. My mechanic friend not to fret over it.
Maybe I donāt drive my Ranger...
I have that display pretty well full time, and make a game of it to keep it under (or over for the MPGāers) the graph thingy.
Always trying to beat my ālow scoreā ?
went from 11.3 litres per 100 in winter on snows to 10.8 currently (June 2025 for the archives). My target is 10.5/10.6 by fall...
Iāve never heard of an HVAC cleaning service before. I could see a cabin air filter replacement but what else would they do, put a vacuum hose up to the vents? ?
Whatās the other part of āalmost exclusivelyā? Was it off-road and maybe through water? Iām just wondering as Iām in the same mileage range as you, and many are even further along without an issue like that.
It seems like a one-off but a steep cost to you, sucks for sure,, sorry to hear this...
Just did a weekend drive Toronto to Bethesda Maryland. Started at 21.2 and got āer to 21.7 back home.
Stock ā19 FX-4. Some weight in the box so was much bette/smoother of a long ride than when empty.
Been running 87 in the tank (realized too late to upgrade during this trip).
Was mostly...
Air filters are cheap and easy enough to DIY (even for non-mechanics like myself).
I just passed 100,000 kmās on my 2019, and was also just wondering recently about changing the spark plugs but havenāt pulled the trigger yet.
(probably going to do both differentials as well as the transfer...
Got the snail mail version of this just last week. I have the issues that started with that bad version of Sync.
Have to bring her in for a few oils changed anyway (doing first rear-dif change also now that Iām at 100k kms).
Hope they can do this re-flash or whatever it is to fix at the same time.
Iām surprised if the fob battery is low/failing that you arenāt getting the warning alert on your dash on startup.
My Lariat is around the same age as yours, built January 2019, and I started to get this warning about 6 months ago. Changed the fob battery and all is good again.
You most likely have version 22251 of Sync. Itās a problem version (see here) with these issues as you have.
Remedy is a new version (23188 I think?) that should be available to you. See the linked thread above for more info and help.
Grrrr, so Iām having nothing but problems now. Iāve done four or five upgrades in the past using the USB method with no issues, but this one might have screwed me.
Was upgrading from a bad-working version 22251.
Did a āsoftā reset first.
Had the truck in Park, plugged in the USB and up came...
