With Tom Woods one piece driveshaft, I've used this from Mobil 1.
This from amsoil is probably what I'll buy next time online, but Grainger had it in store that day.
Ford Performance Tune and new shocks/springs will bring the 5g Ranger close enough in performance to the Raptor, or as close as most people need. I don't think most people are bashing their new $60k truck.
No surprise, ARB didn't seem to care much about the US Ranger platform outside of the promotional launch items and some of those are discontinued. Tough to get aftermarket companies to care when the ranger is the lowest selling mid size.
I don't think it's a joke. I think you should go out to Barstow/Johnson Valley/etc with a radar gun and report back on your findings. There's some serious speed out there.
Here's a Bronco specific video but it should hold similar to the Ranger, the taco videos have similar results.
Get 2.5s if ya wanna run it at speed (speed limits off-road lmao). King is slightly more travel, Fox holds up better in places that salt the road, Fox has better adjustments, yadda...
Oops had it in the title and edited it, asking $600. I can ship, but I'll have to double check the shipping costs. UT to Kansas shouldn't be terrible I'd imagine. Send me a PM if you're interested
For $20 I added the Barricade bumper hoop from an f150, the ranger option seems slanted and too narrow I think. Painted with J7 gray, close to the ARB color, just a bit more metallic flake. Think it fixes the Quagmire chin the ARB bumpers have lol. Looks good paired with a hood visor (FB...
Deavers are a full leaf pack, not add a leaf. They're thinner and have more leaves than most so they'll flex better. ?
There's no definitions as it's all relative to the application, I'm just categorizing it as mid travel as the rear is largely stock length shocks while the front is longer...
Raptor take off rear shocks with higher mounting points, lift leaf springs, and longer shackles is my idea that's between beer and champagne ha. All the "long travel" rangers besides wicked creations are just a front end kit that's more like mid travel IMO
King seems good. When ordering bypasses the local shop I went thru recommended getting Kings cera-coated to protect them from the elements. Would be roughly as expensive as Fox then which come cera-coated from the factory.
You can keep 18s, if you look at the details online they mentioned tire...
RPG is similar to Baja Kits and APG. APG was offering to do it all for you which is why you've seen a few more of those. I've seen the wicked creations, probably the biggest lift outta them for the front. The rear looks like a sick package, but I think I'd get a local shop to 4 link instead of 3...
Dogs and girlfriends don't mind when you do mods!
Fox 2.5 front coilovers will work, Baja Kits prerunner is specced for drop in coilovers, no need to cut and remount front shock towers.
Buy Fox 2.5s from Accutune and they'll tune the shocks for your trucks weight (bumper, winch, etc.). As good...
Start with Fox 2.5 and UCAs from Baja Kits and slowly build from there, that's what I'm doing as I don't feel like dropping an arm and leg on fiberglass work.
