Ordered a Gator ETX Tri-fold tonneau cover off of Amazon for $197. Had a $50 gift card from Christmas so got it for ~$150-ish after tax. .

Finally......after not having one of these, I had come to dislike dropping the tailgate immensely. Lol. I know.....lazy. I can open it without hesitation now.

I mounted a charging cradle for my Streamlight Strion. Decided this is a good spot that’s easily accessible yet hidden from view. If you can’t tell what you’re looking at, that’s the side of the driver seat.

Edit, months later: if you're wanting to do this, mount it farther back where the head of the flashlight is away from where you swing your leg into the truck. I knock it off quite a bit and I've had to retrain myself how to get in.

1. Remove sill plate and kick panel
2. Loosen seat trim just inboard of the flashlight in the picture.
3. Fish wire under the carpet down to the sill plate, then up to the fuse panel. I found another unused fuse like I did in this other post.
4. Mount cradle as required.

Pretty simple process, really. I thought about using the power wire for the seat motors, it's right there in a harness. But I wanted it switched with the key instead of hot all the time.

What did I do to the Ranger........Paid it off......:party::party::beer::beer::flag:

Was going to wait until the Spring but I used my HELOC to pay off the loan and get me the title.....I noticed my "introductory" rate was 3%....It just went up to 6.5% Screw B of A . Not paying over 4% interest on any vehicle.

I don't like having loans against my home..I don't recommend it. I used the HELOC for a lower rate at the time temporarily. They said my introductory rate was over...Why would anyone pay 6.5% interest if they have alternatives?

Hi Folks,

I went out to the Garage, Patted My Ranger on the nose and wished it a Happy New Year! and let it go back to sleep....

However, to the 5G forum members (excluding my two ignores) Happy New Year!

Best.
