That wasn't the exact quote, but that's kind of the way it came across.

Different strokes for different folks. Buy/drive what fits your needs but don't disparage what someone else drives just because it's not what you like (unless it's a Tacoma. Those are fair game...)

I don't think saying the RR is head and shoulders above other trims is bashing them. It's fact.

As always, it depends.

The RR is built as a fun truck.

Other Rangers are more of a work truck.

If you don't need towing or payload, it's better.

If you do need them, it's not.

It all comes down to what's better for your own needs.

I recently looked at a Maverick because with my Bronco now I don't need the Ranger towing capacity.

In a complete out of left field option, I'll probably end up with a Model 3 Performance.

But I'm not in a hurry, unless my rebuilt transmission continues to unimpress which may hasten my decision.

That's a worry I hope I have alleviated. The RR transmission is soooo smooth.

Well where I work, we're constantly throwing around mom jokes. Nobody gets offended. Of course you have to know the person, which is probably where I went wrong here. BTW, the only thing I'll be towing is a utility trailer.

I went and looked at a '26 Raptor in Marsh Gray. Numbers lined up. Ended up driving it home. Besides hearing crap from the wife (didn't come to telling her to shut the hell up), I really hesitated to trade in Oppie, the perfectly good 5G. But the extended ride home helped to ease that remorse. Damn the Raptors are nice!

Well it was aimed at me, and I found it very offensive! I never tried to ditz you for buying the raptor. But when another member ditzed me, I retaliated. And would again. But since I'll never see that member or his comments again. It's all going to be okay!

If my Lil 22 was to get totaled I'd buy a full size raptor.
