What did you do to your Ranger today?

Uninstalled my Ford Deflector. About 10 miles into my commute today I notice the shield flopping around... pull over to find the plastic broken around all but 1 of the mounts. This is NOT an install issue as the mounting hardware is secure and the shield broke around each... Curious if anyone else has seen this.

Sounds like issue with plastic.

Hi Folks,

I tried again yesterday to install the latest map upgrade to Sync....It failed three times and gave up. Files on the memory stick are correct, so something else wrong....I give up...

This is exactly why I don't like these old style deflectors that mount on under the hood and do not lay flat onto the surface of the hood like the low profile ones. Maybe it was my luck, but I've had trouble with these on past vehicles ...even when they don't break, they tend to flap around and bang on the hood.

In words of my Ranger engineer on the 2003 program that died of a missive heart attack at home in a Sunday before his presentation to upper Ford Truck Management. Jim W... "There are only two kinds of plastic in this world..Broken and About to be Broken"....

Last week I ordered a Gator ETX Tri-Fold Tonneau Cover off Amazon. I was going to buy it brand new for about $250+tax, but then I saw in the small print that they had a Returned Item for $134.99 after tax w/ free shipping.

The listing was notated as having cosmetic damage, but no specifics were given. I took the gamble because the price was unbeatable. The item got delivered today and the box hadn’t even been opened.

So long story short, 1 week and $135 later I got myself a Tonneau Cover finally
