Split Rock Lighthouse, Shore of Lake Superior, Northern Minnesota
The lighthouse is now decommissioned and become a popular state park. But once a year they light it in honor of the Edmund Fitzgerald on the date of her sinking. At twilight they read off the names of the 29 men aboard and ring the bell for each name. A pretty emotional experience. And don't think I didn't play Gordon Lightfoot a few times on the drive home afterwards.

Here is another one of my favorite campsites in Voyageurs National Park. When my 2020 Ranger is delivered in April it will be towing this boat.
