Blasphemy!!!I stopped eating there over 20 years ago along with every other fast food place. The food is nasty and I was always having stomach problems before.
I think 5 Guys was the worst! I never could figure out the big deal about that place. We went there once after it opened near us back in 2011 and it was nothing but a greasy burger and fries and super expensive! Never went back ever again.![]()
I always wait a few weeks before trying a new place. Even if it's a new location of a known restaurant. I tried a new place a few days after opening an it was really bad. I went back three months later because my kids wanted to eat there and it was fairly good that time.I think 5 Guys was the worst! I never could figure out the big deal about that place. I do the same and never will go to any restaurant right when they open. There's always little things that the new owner and staff need to work out and that sometimes can take a while. 5 Guys was open for months before I went and all I kept hearing was how great they were from friends and guys on the job site. Besides being a greasy mess it's expensive and IMHO not worth half of what they charge bit I guess some like it because they're still in business.I always wait a few weeks before trying a new place. I always tell people to wait a few weeks so the staff learn what the heck they're doing and for the "new" to cook/burn off all the equipment.
It's funny how people can have such different tastes because I could never eat that greasy food from there. Just and FYI all those seed oils (that's what that fry grease is) that they said were so good for you are actually not and destroying your body from the inside. I wont get into a health food lecture but just research it sometime and all you'll (not pointing you out directly just a you in generalDave's not wrong, but for the record I do like 5 Guys. Burgers are hot and fresh and "juicy" because they are not made until you order them...same with the fries.
We don't eat from there or any other fast food place often, but if I get a choice of where to go among burger joints I will choose them.
