You must be living right! :like: Shaking my head in utter disbelief - Smile.
Very lucky I guess. I’ve been buying new cars about every three years since 1984, and other than an 88 and a 90 Accord, this is the most trouble free vehicle I have ever owned to this point anyway. I’m very pleased with this Ranger. 422 mile round trip yesterday and other than nasty weather and idiot drivers, it was a very pleasant drive in this little truck.
I am however going to check into the DPFE and the fan hose very soon.

It's not cimate... Virginia get rain and humidity. Going back to long distance driving and your driving style. Ford must have used you as the stress test model!

I drove through pouring rain yesterday and if it wasn’t raining, it was foggy as pea soup. Ranger never missed a beat. Drove it to Wakefield first thing this morning to take my sons car in for state inspection and it ran perfectly as always even after all that rain and fog.

I drive through rain often, but in 2 cases, the rain nearly stalled the engine at an intersection. But these were exceptions, The rain was the most intense that I have ever driven in. It happened at 2am and the rain was so intense that I couldn't hear in the cab! Windshield wipers on high couldn't keep up and I was running 5-10mph with no one on that rural country road. Lasted an hour or so without letting up. Got out on open road with drizzle and came to a 4 way stop. When I throttled up to cross the engine stumbled for 5 seconds or so - right in the middle of the intersection, then cleared it's throat and drove normally the last 175 miles. This happened again in very similar circumstances. I researched it and found an incident reported by an F150 ecoboost owner who had the same symptoms while pulling a loaded horse trailer in the Florida panhandle (they get a lot of heavy rain down there too). He ended up trading it for a 5.0l V8 F150. Ford told him they knew it could happen in unusually hard rain, due to water settling in the intercooler and then getting ingested upon throttle up.

I've drove from upstate NY to NC in rain the entire trip without incident, but it was no where near the intensity of what happened in SC on those 2 trips.
