Hahaha! I have one of those. I use it as a wine decanter. Bought brand new at an Army/Navy store. Still in the oily box, still stapled closed with the factory staples, and inside it was still wrapped in that oily paper. Quite a heavy piece of glass too. Sometimes I wonder how old it is.

I would do that but everyone I know, knows that I have it. I bought three of them in 1979. Gave the other two away as presents. All were used for milk, Cool-Aid, wine, and other drinks.
