After exhaustive research on tires and sizes, I finally pulled the trigger on MT Baja Boss A/T...and couldn't be happier!

And for those out there with tremors trying to figure out if larger tires (than stock) will fit, they will. No lift and only had to do BDS crash bars (front side bars only). The rear bars, I just loosened them up and pushed them back about 1/4" or so.

I bought my Tremor last year with 72K on it, and over the course of a year, it now has 81K. The tires on it were General Grabbers, and judging by the production date, were original to the truck. While they still have decent tread left, they would flat spot over night and they seemed to be noisy, with the constant whirring sound starting as low a 15mph.

These new MT Baja Boss A/T ride smooth, with no noise till around 40MPH, which is perfect around town. Above 40, they do have a slight high pitch hum, but seems to go away at highway speed. I guess the normal wind noise in these things drowns out the tire noise. Like I said, they're smooth as silk!

Even though I went with a larger size than stock, I don't think gas mileage should be affected since they're no heavier than the Generals.

Are they the standard load or E load range?

Good looking Tremor! I like the Saber orange, there aren't to many 5G Rangers around here that are in that color.

Nice looking tires! I replaced my original Grabbers with the Falken Wildpeak A/T4W in the original LT265/70 17. They are slightly larger in diameter, so had to shift the front bars to prevent rubbing while turning otherwise they're nice.

looks great. I keep going back and forth between the stock 265/70/17 and going up to 285.

They dig in well offroad as well. This to me is where they really shine.

Update: not only did I put the 285-70-17 tires on...no lift...BDS crash bars, but installed 3/9" hub centric spacers with extended thread lug nuts.
Tires don't poke...there're flush with wheel flares.
I think it's perfect!
