I never heard of Poutine until it was discussed on this forum. Sheltered life I guess. But looking at that menu, I'd try it...

Edit: Oh, by-the-way, I like Taco Bell too, if that means anything...

Short Rib? Demi-glacé?

This is right up there with my two favourite poutine dishes; pulled pork with a spicy bbq sauce instead of gravy and confit duck leg with Demi-glacé instead of gravy.

As much as the term “cheese curd” sounds, well, kinda gross, they are more like small nuggets of mozzarella than anything else.

Kent, whether it’s something fancy like that version at the casino or the basic (fries, cheese curds, and gravy), you should give it a try. Is it better than chili cheese fries? Depends who you ask but there are plenty of places in Roseville that serve it.

Actually, after a quick Google search for poutine in Roseville, I didn't find anywhere that serves it. There are several places that add melted cheese and other items over french fries but I don't think that is really poutine. Duke, for you, I keep trying. I may have to expand my search area.

Thanks Kent. Melted cheese over fries? Sounds like Disco Fries - I think they’re a New Jersey thing. Maybe more than just Jersey?

Was such a long time ago, don't remember what was good and what wasn't lol. I do however remember the "particle board cookies" that were more building material than tasty snack
