Wow. I’m sorry to hear that. Looks like @DocE3Gun was on the money. I wondered about the hand loaded ammo, because I had overcharged factory ammo blow up my HK USP before(in battery). You hear about unsupported ammo out of battery exploding, but didn’t know triggers can be the culprit!

Yeah, I was in total shock. Luckily I was wearing shooting gloves, which was super lucky. It tore a hole in one of the gloves, but all I got was tiny cut on the nose & blood blister on the hand. Ammo company took care of me so not that they requested, but don’t disclose the company name.

I’d imagine it had less to do with the trigger than the firing pin. Pull the BCG and see if the firing pin is floating or sprung. A floating firing can more easily get stuck in the forward position, especially if a previous round was hotter and left some primer material in the firing pin hole. It could just as easily happen with a milspec trigger.

The BCG and Pin are basically new. Less than 100 rounds cycled thru since getting them. It's a FailZero. Love it. And both were spotless when it happened because I had cleaned everything before taking that 1st shot.

Echo/Binary triggers are too complicated. I'm just gonna drop in a cheap single stage 3½# trigger while I see if Fostech will repair/replace the one I have.

I use the JL Captured Spring in my custom. It eliminated the "twang" from the mil spec spring.

Picked up a Dan Wesson DWX yesterday. Been wanting one since they came out a few years ago. It was posted on our local forum. The seller had two of them and this one was never shot. I believe him when he said "brand new". It's immaculate. I'm a little iffy about the red trigger. I had a silver trigger in my parts bin. Debating if I should swap it out.
