I got the tale tell white smoke on start up, leading me to believe my turbo seal has gone or is going. Figure with all the other upgrades I've done, the only thing I haven't touched is the turbo, but I may have waited too long. I can't seem to find a vendor selling upgrades anymore. Anyone have a hookup or can point me in the right direction?

With the recent weather are you sure it's not condensation buildup? On a cold start in cold weather it is very common to get white looking smoke first thing in the morning.

Its heavy white smoke/steam, on my way home from school the coolant temp notice and she went into limp mode. So it's definitely coolant related. Was able to refill the water and get home as long as I stayed out of boost. Hoping its just a coolant line at the turbo. There was no water in the oil, and she ran fine as long as I stayed out of boost and didn't heat up again.

I would make sure you do some heavy troubleshooting before getting a new turbocharger. Hopefully it's not what I'm thinking, but better safe than sorry

Thank you, evidently everything related to CR performance cannot be got at this time, they stopped shipping to the us.
I saw 1 that wants a $1250 tariff fee on top of the $3800 for the turbo. Most of the Canadian sites say "you are responsible for paying the 25% tariffs". Screw that !

Well like it or not that's how tariffs work. If you really think tariffs are boosting our economy, I have something to tell you.

Also doubting that it’s the turbo. In 15+ years of being in the turbocharger service industry I only ever saw one water cooled turbo that developed an internal coolant leak. Unfortunately it sounds more like a head gasket or egr cooler problem. Need to pressurize your coolant system to see what’s going on

I had a custom 52mm turbo done at Work turbos in Alabama, they did a great job, and the turbo has been flawless $1250 to my door (I did buy a used low mile turbo to send in for the upgrade)

There have been tarriffs for quite some time now. With other countries "taxing" us way more than we "taxed" them, including Canada...
Once we stop subsidizing the world to line the politicians pockets, maybe things will get better.

Keep in mind it's not that we are taxing the other countries. We are taxing ourselves when we purchase from other countries. That's how tariffs work. And you are not wrong about it going on for many eons. It just hasn't been done on such a level in 100 years

We have to admit,,, "The American politicians are using their position to ingratiate themselves" said the 747 from Qatar.

Yeah I get it. But until recently, we were on the losing end as far as fairness goes, aside from us getting hit with higher prices. Again, when we pay higher tarrifs, we are subsidizing them.
