Need you urgent help as I spent hours without succession to remove front differential tube shaft. Can anyone guide me the way to disconnect this shaft? this to install Harrop E-Locker for front differential.

According to the North American shop manual, it just pulls out of the axle tube. It has a retaining clip to hold it in place. See diagrams below.

It probably requires some pulling effort on the end of the exposed shaft to unseat the retaining clip and release the shaft.

They make a puller for that that is used with a slide hammer.
The end of the shaft will have a circlip holding it in place, a quick motion pull will get it to release.

But after looking at the tool that's called out, I am worried about the tool marring the splines.

It may be possible - with a helper and timed together.
One jerking (pulling) on the end of the shaft and one hitting the (now opened up) opposite end with a long punch to break the circlip seating free.

Sometimes these are easy but also sometimes can be a fight.

I cannot remember if the center hole on the shaft is threaded - if it is that's another option of an attach point for a modified puller.

Anyway - the key is - Quick Jerking (Pull) and finding an alternate way to grip the shaft without damaging the splines.

I got to thinking and remembered making this out of stock (flat bar) years ago.
I have used this a few times and it worked great, been quite a while since it has been used so I forgot about it.
I waited to post this update until I was able to get my slide hammer out and snap a pic of it.

Fits perfectly into the Circlip Recess and used a worm clamp to cinch down the adapter (puller) jaws - plus I also wrapped the axle end with some electrical tape to protect the shaft
This will work for what you are attempting to accomplish.

Hope you can make this makeshift adaptor work for you.

Thanks a lot for clarifications. Yes it was the C clip that hold the shaft and I hit it by hummer from crown gear side and pulled out.

In fact, I was working in installing Harrop diff lock to front differential and I was thought if this shaft locked with C clip or something else.

Apprecite your post and help. It was the C clip that hold the shaft and this tool will make my life easier pulling that shaft.

Yep they should pull straight out, sometimes they come out if you are just wanting to pull and replace the CV shaft. Of course these are the times you don't want them to come out!
