For me I think it might be to firm? I also feel wedged in the seat at the 30+ minute mark moving the seat up down, back and fourth has not helped. =/
That's the funny thing about seats and personal comfort. So much goes in to it. Most of the folks here that find them comfortable compare the comfort to a Lazy Boy. Sounds like you are a pretty big (tall?) guy? I'm 6'3" but pretty lanky. I have to have the seat all the way up so the seat is all the way back (you lose some length as the seat raises) and then raise the front until it just barely contacts the full length of my hamstring. I have a slightly bulging lower disc so that's not helping. I know at least one of wider guys here have had a bit of the problem with the seat design as well but I definitely don't have that problem.

Anyway, good luck in finding a comfortable position. Hey, just curious..did you ever sit in a Colorado? If so, how did that feel to you? I felt like that seat was really soft and kind of built for wider drivers so for me, that was an easy no go.

Supposed to 30, unless the 2WD versions are different than the 4X4's. Yes, it does make a difference. Mine was the same way until I found the tires were overinflated when I left the dealership.

For what it’s worth, I’m very comfortable in my Ranger. But I can’t get comfortable in my wife’s Subaru Forester. Everybody’s different.

I'm 5'7", and have the seat fairly forward so my feet can easily operate the pedals without much upper-leg (or even calf) movement. I have the seat-back relatively upright, with some lumbar support dialed in, in order to distribute my torso weight evenly on my spine. Two/three-hour drives are no problem, and I I've had back issues.

I read 35 4x2
38 4x4
Where are you reading this? The doorjamb sticker on my CrewCab 4x4 shows "30" all-around.

Maybe it suits shorter people better? I’m 5’8” with almost constant back pain and found these seats fantastic. Lumbar support feels good and I can move the seat around for different positions on longer trips.

Adjust distance to pedals first (this will involve seat cushion fore/aft/height positions), followed by seat-back rake and lumbar support. Finally adjust steering wheel tilt and telescope for a relaxed hand position, with elbows slightly bent. Hope this helps.

Do you have the LT tire option? They are recommended to be 35psi and those tires could affect ride quality as well if that’s what is on your truck.

Bought my ranger last week. So far it is the most uncomfortable vehicle I have ever been in or owned. During the test drives it seemed fine but after driving 30+ mins at a time it is just the worst.

I can not for the life of me find a comfortable seating position at all.

The suspension is like I am riding around a in a bounce house. I have never been in a vehicle so bouncy. Something else I did not notice when test driving.

Anyone else have these issues? I can deal with the bounciness but the uncomfortable seat might just make me get rid of it.

Lariat supercrew leather 2WD

:(
I initially had much the same impression of the "bounce house ride" but resolved the issue with the Ford Performance Leveling Kit, which adds front and rear shocks and coil overs and stabilized the ride. Now I love the ride, the higher stance of the cab, and the enhanced clearance. You do not have to put up with what is for you a bad ride since it can be improved. As for the seats, I find them comfortable in general, and they only bother me on really long drives, which is pretty much true for any vehicle, and so I am just leaving that alone. In previous vehicles (not Fords) with problematic seating, I solved the issue with supportive devices like this one at https://relaxtheback.com/products/mccartys-sacro-ease-car-back-support. Please do not get rid of your Ranger until you have tried these two options. It really is a great truck once you get it customized a little....

Well it is bouncy but not as much as I heard.

As far as seating what is weird is the first test drive I thought it was super comfortable. The second test drive I drove two different ones. The first was so uncomfortable, I had to pull over many times and could not get the seat right. Almost didnt buy one. Second was a FX4 and it was very comfortably. I do not know the difference in seating but there was.

The first one almost felt like the seat was overstuffed.

Not sure, I came from a 2019 Tacoma and my Ranger is way more comfortable. I agree, at least with the FX4 package, it is too bouncy but I will fix that with a suspension levelling kit. Good luck with getting yours to suit you.

38 psi will be killer on ride. Ours are dealer prep set at 32 psi. Ours is an FX4 with 17" AT-m Hankook DynoPro. Silk.
