Okay, I figured it would be but thank you for the confirmation.Yes, the install is the same as the Morimoto lights. The physical is the same as any headlight swap in the Ranger. The wiring is the same as the Morimoto lights.
The biggest issue was getting the bottom tabs loose on the grille. What worked for me was drilling a small hole in the top of the slot where the tab goes in, only through the first layer, and using a small pin to push the tap down to release it.
As far as the lights, they are holding up just fine. Really love the sharp cutoff on the low beams and the bright high beams.
I did make some Forscan changes to my DRL settings. I have my DRLs set to include parking lights. I also had had my DRLs set to be my Fog lights. This way the low beams are not used. I still leave my headlight switch in the Auto position. If you you do not have Forscan, then you will need to turn off the DRLs in the Instrument Panel Menus to not have the low beams used.
Yeah, those tabs seem like they are going to be a pain so thanks for the tip!
Good to know they are holding up well. I guess since they have a 5-year warranty that's always a good thing.
Luckily I just started getting into Forscan so I will be sure to make those changes. I really appreciate you taking the time to reply! Thanks!
