I just removed the entire back seat from my truck, covered the bottom holes with plywood, then multiple blankets. It's the mobile dog house. When I was driving cross country to pick up the second dog, I took out the front passenger seat as well, so I could keep a better eye on her, when she was sleeping, awake, playing etc, and know when stops were needed for her to bathroom breaks as she was only 8 weeks old and not house/truck trained yet.

Well it’s clear you’re only willing to do the bare minimum for your pups?

Bobcat lover. They are one of nature's beautiful creatures.

It's covered with Sunbrella fabric, which is tough, but since we always have a blanket on it, we could
I ordered the custom foam through foamorder.com. I'll be glad to share the dimensions we used.

Kate and I are both short (5'6" for me) and the foam goes from door to door and jumper seat back to front seat back with very little gap.

I would like to know the dimensions you used.

You bet, here's directly from my order back in June 2022:

Rear Mattress -
Item: Custom cut conventional foam, Rectangle shape, EverFlex V24 Soft foam, as a bottom foam, with DACRON WRAP (all sides wrapped)
Specs: Width: 54 in, Depth: 18 in, Thickness: 6 in

Item: Sunbrella fabric cover, 5416-0000 Canvas Aruba, Rectangle shape, inside fabric edges overlocked
Specs: Width: 54 in, Depth: 18 in, Thickness: 6 in
Zipper: Across WIDTH.

It says soft foam but it's pretty firm. Not rock hard but now like a pillow either. When 22 pound Cheech walked on it, there wasn't much deflection, maybe a half inch max. I used the same for the little cup covering piece I had made later. That part is overkill for sure, but Cheech had torn both his CCLs and had surgery on one, so we were always worried about that.

Front of armrest -
Item: Custom cut conventional foam, Rectangle shape, EverFlex V24 Soft foam, as a bottom foam, with DACRON WRAP (all sides wrapped)
Specs: Width: 10 in, Depth: 11 in, Thickness: 3 in

Item: Sunbrella fabric cover, 5416-0000, Rectangle shape, attach 4 sets of chair ties, inside fabric edges overlocked
Specs: Width: 10 in, Depth: 11 in, Thickness: 3 in
Zipper: Across WIDTH.
Notes: Attach 4 sets of chair ties. PLACEMENT: bottom of each corner with one set at each corner. SPACING: one set on each of the four corners of the cushion. TIE LENGTH: 18 in (46 cm).

You can see that cushion here, it snugs up under the center armrests and I have yet to use the corner ties, on that small cushion, to hold it in place better. When you're in Drive, it holds it tight and Kota can walk back and forth when he's not hooked in to the baby seat clip thing.

Note: the 18" depth fits well for us. I'm 5'6" and Kate's 5'2" - she leans her seat way back but mine is slid farther back and more upright, that makes the back cushion/mattress nice and snug against the front seat back. If you're taller, you might want it more narrow.

If you guys don't have similar seating setups, you may need to get another wife! =D

Thanks, that helps a lot. I really like the added height and it looks to be more level than directly on the seat.

Just realized I never voted.. I check other..
I don’t have a pic of the owl that shows up during my occasional patio fire pit and whiskey time ? but it’s a big one maybe about 16” -18” tall. Hangs out on the roof down at the south house (Hollister) it eats the barn swallows from time to time which is unfortunate since the barn swallows mitigate the bug situation.
IMG_1820.jpeg

stretch here takes care of the mice. (This is him right before he went up into the garage wall while I was trying to guide him back outside… stretch is still around..left a nice long shedding by the barn last week.)
IMG_0284.jpeg

these two don’t fit in the Ranger for obvious reasons.

and the two new pups… Coal (black) and Poe (white)….
Anyway yeah there’s a couple huskies too, one more puppy but she’s my sisters dog named nova.
We have a couple potbelly’s coming soon and chickens..(once I cage up the little hen house I’ve been working on.)…
Not sure how I’m gonna keep stretch out of there… maybe just drop a egg or two near the spots it’s commonly found roaming… also a lot of wild turkeys and jack rabbits frequent the property… and a few other birds (I’m pretty sure its a couple road runners and a woodpecker ((who’s probably gonna be pissed when I drop the tree he likes that’s too close to our LP tank.)).
….. I love animals, but I hate spiders, bot flies, and ticks……mosquitoes are just annoying..

Thanks, but the horses “Tina” (dark horse) and Deputy “DJ” Jake are actually my moms…
I’ve been trying to get a good picture of Whoowitzer (the owl).. but it never comes out just dark and blurry.

I'm neither, but these two seem to think I belong to them. Sadly we lost the Calico last year.

Just thought I’d do a little update on my puppy “Coal”
This was him in June
IMG_3833.webp

and it’s now November and there have been some slight changes
IMG_1166.webp

He went from being the smallest to this massive lapdog.
