Not precisely what you are looking for - but it will give you the general idea.

I really cannot thank you for your help here. You seem very knowledgeable in both electronics and in ford ranger so, I was wondering if i wanted to wire some lights almost exactly like Marty McFly's '85 Toyota SR5 Xtra Cab. The lights that pop just over the back of the cabin. How would i condense all the wiring from the 4 lights i plant to put on a very similar custom roll bar? The lights i was planning on using are Nilight LED Pods 4Pcs 4.5Inch 42W Round Flood Off Road Fog Lights Driving Roof LED Light Bar Work Light 4200LM with 16AWG Wiring Harness Kit-1 Leads for Truck ATV UTV SUV Boat, 2 Years Warranty these lights come with wiring but i have so many questions

1. what would be the best way to get to the engine bay of the truck?

2. What should i do to get them from the roll bar to the engine bay without burring my truck down to cooking lights or any electronics in the process?

3. Should i run them in the frame rails of my truck after i insulate them like crazy?

4. If then how and where would be a good place to pop the wire thru into the engine bay without messing up my skid pates or getting it pinched in any weird spots?

5. (less important question because I'm sure i can figure this out if wiring path issues is resolved) How would i add 2 more (in addition to the 4 of those lights if i wanted too?)

Any type of information with this would help. (truck reference and lights being sued are listed below)

okay perfect that is just what i wanna hear! do you have pictures of behind the dash?
I didn’t take pictures but I can try later when I get home. I installed the switches for my lights next to the existing controller for the stock lights. I basically followed that wiring harness. The only panel I needed to open was the cover for the fuse box. Poking a hole through the plug in the firewall was difficult because it’s up behind the pedals. I’ll try to get some good pictures for you.

There are multiple ways to add a gang switch for different lights. I don't know if Ford has the option where you can take the switch panel from the Tremor package and put it on the Ranger without it. What I do know is if you get a Garmin power switch, you can have that connected to your phone and then using the Android Auto screen on the radio to control different lights. Depending on how you have things wired you can also have some lights come on with two different triggers. For example you can have a set of driving lights come on with your high beams. Something to consider

thank you so much for your reply! I have looked into the power switch and decided i want to just strait wire all my stuff anyway. I'm trying to keep my build lower budget (but sill good quality) so i cant really dish out the 400-500 bucks for that type of switch because of the other mods i would like to do first but i am heavily considering it in the future.

Not the greatest pics but gives you an idea. I realize the rats nest of wires looks terrible but I wasn’t going to spend the time and effort to cut everything exactly to length and redo connections lol I have a GMRS mobile radio in my truck so that’s what most of that wire is. I can’t see it when I tuck it under the dash so it doesn’t bother me ?‍♂
