The '22 XLT has a voluminous pit in the center console that can fit a lot of junk, but it's kinda hard to reach in to. I wanted a quick-access tray that would fit some things I reach for most, specifically chap stick, a flashlight, a small multitool, a pocket knife and a pen. So I designed a cubby bin specifically for these items.

That looks like a great idea.
I like the blue edging.

It's a useful way to fill that area between the 12v sockets, and still lets me get my hand down in the french fry collector pit if I need.

I like it! Mine is taken up with a switch panel though. Interesting design that uses the vent holes with hooks that lock into them.

That's a pretty cool way to add a switch panel! Where did you find that?

That's a really good design. I obviously didn't put that much thought in to mine. I was just focused on a place for my damned chapstick LOL.
Hey, it works! Now you have design idea when you open your Etsy store. :like:

how hard was this to wire up? did you have to tear apart the whole dash?
Wiring was pretty easy. I would replace the wires that came with the switch, they are heavy and hard to work with. It is easier to do the wiring if you drop down the panel under the steering wheel. As you can see from the photo taken from a low angle, the wires can be pushed in to feed them to the switch panel. I pulled them out a bit to make them more visible for the photo.

If you need power from the power port, drop down the panel under the steering wheel, then pull the panel straight back marked "Remove". It was scary the first time but there are videos online for the process. A panel trim tool will help. 2 screws (1 on each side) hold in the power port panel.

Thank you for your reply and okay that's pretty neat! Have you seen this type of interior panel replacement for the ranger? It like replaces what ever the panel the 2 12v plugs are attached to and adds some switch spots but honestly idk if that will fit and idk if i can put aftermarket switches in it that this company dosent sell. (like i dont know if i can buy switches off of amaon and still have them fit in the slots.

That was my first choice but they are an Australian company and I was not sure if their Rangers differed from the American version. They didn't have a US specific site at the time. I didn't want to gamble $80 + shipping and wait 2 weeks to find out. :) I believe the switch size is the same but again, the other side of the world. The one I used comes with Nilight brand from Amazon and I have had good success with their products.
