Just installed a Gator Recoil tonneau cover, but the fit seems a bit off. Anyone have any suggestions? The end of the of it where it meets the tailgate seems to not cover the entirety of the tail gate leaving gaps in the corners.
Not sure of the "recoil" model, But I've had the gator roll up for my ranger and now my frontier.
The fitment is always a bit poor, but you get what you pay for.

Got any pics of the gaps you're dealing with?

Granted it is cheap for a retractable bed but $1000 isn’t chump change. From my research seems like it was originally designed for a GMC model and they just threw in two little things to make it “available” for the Ranger.

I actually bought it second hand at $200 from someone who never took it out of the box. I don’t mind paying that for what I got. I would’ve returned it if I paid full price.

looking at it I might actually 3d print my own end piece that extends out to cover this gap.

Ah, yeah that would do it.

If you're capable with the software may as well print what you need.

I received my auto insurance renewal for the next year....................... :crying: California is tough on insurance !
I feel that… around 1600 for three vehicles every six months… ten years ago it was only 1200 for the four cars I owned at the time and one of them was a bmw m5 ?

Yes, I am at $3,300 for a full year. We do have a new Lincoln Corsair so there is that. Plus the Ranger.

It’s good to be in South Dakota.

My $1,100 cover also has crappy, pop-off with an acorn hit, end caps.

Luckily they always fall off at home. I used some Gorilla glue to keep them on - but still, like you said, it's not chump change. =(

I grew up here in western SD, moved to CA for a job in 1988, couldn't wait to get out. We bailed in 2015 & moved back here. SD is OK, but I am not fond of the extreme cold in the winter and the hail storms in the summer. I'll admit, I do miss the predictable CA weather.
