Agree Mazda has some very good vehicles such as CX5 and CX50, and the CX70 and CX90. I would have bought a CX70 if the nearest dealer wasn't 200 miles away, instead ended up in a Subie Outback Limited XT - it's the wife's car but I've driven it and the CVT is quiet and efficient, seems to handle the 277 lbs/ft pretty well. However as I mentioned in another post - Mazda CX70 and CX90 impressed with their 3.3T - can make 340 ponies on premium and get 29 mpg highway (C&D test at 75mph) in a nearly 4900 lbs vehicle . The Outback checks all the boxes for the wife, but were it my choice I'd driving the Mazda.above you said nissan is the only one that is having issues. i'm assuming it was a minor typo, and if so yeah i agree. very strange nissan has all the CVT woes. they're notoriously hated lol. meanwhile i just found out even Honda is adding CVTs... subaru is loaded up with CVTs... meanwhile i avoid CVTs like the plague lol.
i'm rooting for nissan. i wish them the best because on occasion they do really cool stuff that is probably good for the industry overall. sort of like mazda, but cooler.
side note and off topic: mazda is quietly cranking out some really solid products and no one talks about them much, imo.
