Thanks, now I really feel old! I remember this one and all the other great cartoons from when we grew up which are nothing like todays. Surprisingly with all the violence (knives, guns & swords) non of us ever killed anyone.

I don't want to overthink it too much, but slapstick comedy is funny or funnier to those of us who grew up with corporal punishment, or, "Woodshed Guidance" than those of the time out generations.

Maybe... that guidance taught us the difference between reality and pretend and gave us common sense. Today's world could use some good old corporal punishment.

It's not spit, just dirty as hell, but yes, the 24:08 is the thing. Not sure how the clock even managed that one, and to boot, it wasn't even just past midnight (which should read 00:08 for those not familiar with the 24-hour clock); weirdly, this clock goes from 11:59 to 24:00, right through to 24:59 and then it's 13:00 - what????
