I have not on the Ranger but have on other trucksHas anyone bought the center bearing and replaced it yourself? Did it need to be pressed on and off or just remove the nut? Any help is appreciated. Mine started squealing really loud a couple of days ago and I need to replace it because we are moving to Ohio in a few weeks and not sure if I can get an appointment at the dealer in time.
You will need a puller to get it off and it will need pressed on, sometimes you can get it back on with the right size diameter piping that will fit over the splines, or a hole drilled into a 2x4 and a hammer- pressing it is the best
and be sure to mark the splines before you pull the yoke to ensure it gets indexed back to same position.
